Yes!!! Long time coming to find it. — 7 years ago
Very enjoyable Wednesday Wine Committee lunch today with @Weston Eidson & @Colby Siratt hosting. Same format as always...1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine all tasted blind.
This had a sense of familiarity to it. It reminds me of a lighter version of Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve. Similar notes of baked key lime pie and toasted oak on the nose, but the palate showed less honey/nougat. Maybe more limestone. Very solid. I called it NV French champagne. — 7 years ago
Very effervescent, slightly sweet, with soft mineral undertones — 7 years ago
16.5/20 (90/100) Деликатный аромат малины, земляники, апельсинов и булки бриошь. Довольно высокая кислотность, вкус соответствует. Приятное во всех отношениях розе. — 8 years ago
Not overly sweet. Really enjoyed. — 9 years ago
Deep straw color. Elegant full body. A bit fizzy perhaps. Very enjoyable. — 4 years ago
Not usually a fan, but I enjoyed this. — 6 years ago
An extraordinary bottle that is a near-perfect blanc de blancs. Medium gold in color, the wine has a beautiful mousse even at 25 years of age, with fine bubbles and a tantalizing aroma conveying powerful primary, secondary and tertiary notes. The nose shows fresh and preserved lemon, green and golden apple, acacia, hawthorn, hazelnut, wet stone and flint. On the palate, the wine is dry but has a wonderful medium-bodied richness. There is vibrant, high acidity that gives the wine great energy. Flavors include smoke, flint, wet stone, preserved lemon, green apple, golden apple, dried acacia, hazelnut, and a hint of roasted coffee along with a pleasant saline quality. The wine has a very long finish and is compelling to drink now though it can certainly age for another decade or more. Outstanding. — 6 years ago
Very good celebratory toast! — 7 years ago
Lemon and brioche. More oxidative than the Charles Heidsieck that this replaced. Yellow fruited, nutty, brioche, smooth champagne with tiny bubbles and a refreshing finish. This Champagne can hold for another 15 years easily. This is a good wine but very different from the Heidsieck that is actually more to the neutrality line than I was expecting. This wine is clearly on the oxidative side. — 7 years ago
Выраженный известковый аромат, немного мокрой шерсти, хлебная корочка. — 9 years ago
Amazingly delicate and elegant following the Heidsieck and the fact that it spent 7 years in Tirage. This wine was not only the Champion Sparkling of the Brisbane Wine Show but the overall Champion Wine of the Show. Bravo Ed Carr. — 10 years ago
Raisins and baked apple with slight bready quality - very nice — 12 years ago
Excellent. Crisp, dry, flavorful. — 5 years ago
コクがあるのに爽やか。酸味とのバランスもよい — 6 years ago

Rather balanced champers. On the front, creme brulee and brioche. Oxidative. Nuttiness going on. The finish is more reductive with some green apple, lemon and lime with a hint of tart and flint. Compared to Charles Heidsieck NV this one is probably 10 bucks more. This is a 12 base with earlier disgorgement than you see on the latest CH Heidsieck. This will hold IMO 10 years with cellaring on this NV with 2012 base. — 7 years ago

If you like your champagne a bit off-dry, with a fresh fruity-floral character, this one is for you. Fresh fruit aromas with toasty notes. On the palate sweet stone fruits, notes of tropical fruit, nuts and honey, soft and gentle. Lingering finish ending with mild chalky-yeasty character. Nice balance with good bead flow. 2007 vintage in magnum. Very closed nose. Sweet feel on the palate. Slightly caramelised. Good acidity keeps finish clean. It's ok. — 11 years ago

Easy enjoyment factor with this champagne. When we visited Morlet in Napa last year, they like to pour their vintage offering of Pierre Morlet as a welcome upon arrival. I enjoy their family label, but wish it was more readily available.
Grand cru fruit. 76/24 Pinot/chard and it shows. This is rich, yeasty and powerful. Borders on creamy with the mousse. Limestone grit, lemon and white chocolate scone, with hints of nougat. This NV offering is very enjoyable for the price, and reminds me of a less layered/complex Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve (which is a favorite of mine). — 4 years ago
