100% Pedro Ximenez
Medium straw yellow.
Beautiful unique bouquet of roasted almond, sour dough, and cashew nut. Surprisingly fruity, citrus note (more lemon/lime than tangerine).
On the palate, this is a refreshing wine. Briny, zesty, and herbal.
It goes so well with all kinds of food. Real underrated food wine. Most importantly, I popped this bottle about 7 months ago and I am still drinking it today. Amazingly long lasting. 90. — 7 years ago

Delicious. Inky. Full bodied and drinkable. Great value for the price. Amazing with dark chocolate and stands up well to bold food pairings. — 8 years ago
Unique flavor paired well with Asian food. Not too sweet very balanced — 8 years ago
Purple Violet glass with a translucent scarlet Violet rim. Medium nose of blackberry, tobacco, vanilla, blueberry, loam, and smoke. On the palate, the sharp young tannins charge in with a nice acidic tartness of the berries, cherry, and a hint of pomegranate. Tannins drive a nice long finish where tartness meets a little chocolate. This wine is fair value now at $19.98 but should be fantastic 3 years from now. Still great now with steak or rich food. — 9 years ago
Full bodied, fruity, complex...great with Italian food! — 9 years ago

Delicious medium to fully bodied rosat sparkler with earthy notes from Boutique Cava producer, this one is surely intense and more food wine than aperitif, hand turned and disgorged after 36 months on the lees, delectable info is misleading as this is 70% monastrell, 20% Pinot, and 10% garnaba. Don't compare Cava to champagne, it's Catalayun native varietals that bring their own skill sets to the table. — 7 years ago
You wish you could be drinking this wine at a bus stop! Manuel Manzaneque Mil Cepas vino de la teirra de Castilla 2014. Profound, intense red from a plot of 1000, 35 year old vines planted on sandy soils in eastern Mancha. Amazing w Cuban food and good company including the winemaker.
Disclaimer: I import it. — 7 years ago
A bit edgier than my usual red taste, but greasy paired with food — 8 years ago
Absolutely delicious classic Chianti! Beautiful winery in Tuscany, amazing food as well here! — 8 years ago
Deep scarlet violet glass with translucent purple rim. Deep nose of blackberry, blueberry, violets, cassis, anise, pencil shaving, tobacco and hints of cinnamon & vanilla. On the palate, a dry acid of medium body opens to black fruits, spice box, and black pepper. Medium tannins hold grip for a medium long dry cassis filled peppery/chalky finish. Balanced but slightly shifted to the nose with good structure. Good value at $16.98 USD for rich food/red meats accompaniment. — 8 years ago
Dark, dusty and earthy yet filled with tart cherry and plum. Great acid! Full bodied, robust. Definitely a food wine. — 8 years ago

Deep, slightly tart and peppery. Currants on the nose. No lingering sweetness. Stands up well to read meat and salty food. — 10 years ago
Classic CUNE Riserva. Showing very well for a year that is not an excellent vintage. A lovely wine with food. Shows good balance and fruit and character. — 11 years ago
Delicious, surprisingly well balanced. Medium fruit, great with food. — 7 years ago

Gran Sarao Brut Rose Cava NV
65% Garnacha, 35% Monastrell.
Spanish sparkling Rose. Yummy. Food friendly. Subtle notes of cherries and strawberries, minerality, dry finish.
