Fantastic red hue color and long velvety, Smokey finish with a strong tobacco leather slap at the end. Yum yum yum. Have this with steak chilled . Under $9 at TJs — a year ago
Marvelous with an amazing ruby red color on the edges that definitely resonates in the nose with a light smokey floral scent. It has a light leg on your glass but an awesome deep classic dry burgundy taste that finishes like a super expensive bottle. TJ’s for $7 make it a killer value!! — a year ago
Great presentation for a party or a fun dinner. Preferably an Italian dinner! Nothing to write home about and all about the fun factor, but don’t forget it’s a double bottle for $8 😍. Thank you TJs! — a year ago
TJ’s for $7.50 makes this a winner but I am bot running back to get another one. As most bordeaux’s do, it lacks a Bose and starts very light and fine but ends “alcoholy” and not chewy enough for me. WBA — a year ago
This beauty ranges from $26 to about $31. A very good value for an extremely smooth vino, with everything Berry coming at you all at once! From the nose to the velvety texture, you will get raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and I even get some jam. It’s not sweet and is a Cabernet lover’s delight as far as its dryness... but it definitely tricks you for a moment into thinking you are getting a fruity sweet wine which ends up finishing extremely dry. Well done Hess!
Highly recommended 🎁 ! — a year ago
Fantastic Cabernet from TJ‘s for $10. Very “elegant red hue with a powerful palette”, exactly correct, strong blackberries followed by a strong smoky leather with a little pepper. It would score higher for me if it didn’t get flat so quickly. Within about 90 minutes of opening it got a little “table wines” and lost its nose!
But it’s incredible color and initial flavor are exceptional except that it comes off a little sweet at first. Settles down quickly. Served chilled!WBA ( would buy again) — a year ago
Has a very traditional mid price Cabernet taste but I have no complaints. — a year ago
Excellent with steak but take it down chilled and make sure it’s with a steak or lamb!! TJs $7 — a year ago
Ok ok ok, so any good trial lawyer knows that when the judge starts by making positive remarks for your case before a big ruling, it’s usually not good. You want a judge to end with the positive remarks. Things like with “ all due respect”, usually come in the middle and end up not boding well for your position. So here it goes. ....This is probably one of the finest wines I have ever had. It’s silky texture wraps around your pallet and envelopes your tongue, reminding you of the heavy price tag. $150 for one bottle or four glasses to be exact! Even the bottle is heavier than usual. From the nose to the finish, for every day folks like us , this is an experience. Enriching to say the least!
But, “with all due respect“, every wine rated on here is on a scale that considers value. And at $150 this B@#%..... bottle, is simply not worth the money. Nevertheless, I find it worthy of one of our highest scores ever because it is simply impeccable!! Thank you Ted for the great gift 🎁!! — a year ago
