Stunning wine to celebrate our 27th anniversary, still plenty of structure and tannin to make things interesting with age and acid still to keep it fresh to the last drop. Dark rose, saddle leather, sort of a wild like red onion skin note and a bit of anise on the nose. Wine evolved and opened until the last drop, we chose to have it open in the glass rather than decant. If there is any more of this wine go find it!! — 9 months ago

The 2019 Barolo Cerretta has shut down considerably since I last tasted it, but the elements are also more put together in that the wine is a harmonious whole rather than a combination of individual components. Dark red fruit, rose petal, orange peel, spice and dried herbs are beautifully sketched. I would not dream of touching a bottle anytime soon. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2024)

Fenocchio's 2015 Barolo Cannubi is soft and inviting, with racy curves, expressive aromatics and fine balance. Sweet tobacco, licorice, dried herbs, cedar and sweet red cherry are some of the nuances that emerge. The radiance of the vintage is evident in the wine's ripe profile and slightly forward flavors. 2019 vintage. Enjoying the simpler, 2018 vintage of this wine a bit more currently. The 2019 is pretty tight and very youthful. Laying off for a 5-spot might help but a 10-spot would be better.
