Everything a rosé should be. Has a bite to it too! — 4 years ago
Stored well. Lots of sediment but this was good. Not spectacular but good. — 6 years ago
Not much of a sweet tooth, but with a Sauternes of this caliber you’ll see me giggling like a school girl on a sugar rush á la Oompa Loompa. Laughingly good, yet so broad and philosophical deep, a concentration that is far beyond and with a high and vibrant acidity that is keeping the lusciously sweet palate in check throughout the lengthy finish. Youthful, tight and needs time in the glass to show
Show its true complexity. A grand vin indeed. Judged on todays performance rather than future the potential. — 6 years ago

The legendary John Williams and his team has put together a fantastic wine this vintage and as always a bargain considering the origin. Crafted as always in the classic style, yet no denying of its provenance. The 2017 Frog’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon walks the talk with a luxury appeal, a fashion model in an haute couture dress.
Ripe fruit with soft edges but with plenty of energy and nerve. Cassis, black plums, red strawberries and floral minty lift backed by a sweet spice, graphite, tobacco, pine wood and dusty rocks.
Refreshing acidity, pronounced but approachable tannins that is balanced by a soft and fruity texture. Dense and concentrated flavor profile with a fresh spine that permeates the palate. Strong mid palate and an evolving complexity through a solid finish.

This needed 2 days of air. Honeysuckle, nectarines, a big amount of acidity and hint of brine, a tiny bit of pineapple, palate is nice texture. Great with food. Needs a few years in bottle. — 3 years ago
Unique blend for wine club members - wine is extremely approachable yet has a lot of body. Nice tannins with high acid, old world style with new world fruit. — 4 years ago
Frog’s Leap. “Hilltop” Rossi Vineyard Cabernet blend. Nose of dirt, currants, anise, plums, just slightest hint of violets. Palate is plums, currants, herbs, a bit of cocoa, some tobacco, pepper, and subtle tannins. Will be interesting to see how this ages since it’s so enjoyable with an hour of air now. — 4 years ago
