Silky smooth, and light as a feather. — 7 years ago
Light as a “feather” but mineral, herbal and deep. Drinks beautifully at this very young age. I don’t know that you’d want any age on it actually. — 7 years ago
Brown color. The most aggressive characteristics of this wine in aroma and flavor at this point in its life are raisinated fruits, licorice and menthol. There's also juicy tomato, the inside of an acoustic guitar, and find black table pepper. Sweet tannin and a creamy full body, but so silly smooth that it can feel light as a feather. On the the finish there's menthol, it gains a tart cherry flavor and the tannins turn up the heat drastically. Hands down the best I've ever had from Bulgaria. — 9 years ago
Garnet deep, deep intense aroma, with all 3 aromas, feather, leather, dark cherry, savory, m+ tannins, m+ body, smoky, raisin. Long finish, need decanting — 5 years ago
Cherry, raspberry and cassis with smokey oak notes. Smooth finish with a good balance of tannins and acidity. — 6 years ago
Opened tight, but blossomed into a lovely cab, with Big bing cherry, hints of brown sugar. — 7 years ago
On the nose; perfumed, floral, spiced fruits of; blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, strawberries, raspberries & hues of blue fruits. Dark, rich soils, anise and dark fresh foral bouquet. The body is M and the tannins M+. Spices flow before the wine reveals the ripe, fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, strawberries and hues of blueberries. Loads of dark spices, dark chocolate, mocha powder, crushed rocks, dry stones, loamy soils, leather, dry brush and bright violets. The acidity is nice and the balanced finish is long, elegant and turns slightly dry on the very backend. Photos of; their signage as you approach, David March (Winemaker), a feather with hand painted artwork of their bottle in great detail and the pond on the front grounds. Producer history and notes...Garrison Creek Cellars is a project of Walla Walla natives Michael Murr and his childhood friend Dave March. While Michael Murr lives on the east coast, Dave March is both Winemaker and Winery Manager in Walla Walla. Garrison Creek Cellars has 300 acres situated along the Washington/Oregon border on the fringes of Walla Walla, but on the Washington side. David March (Winemaker) studied nuclear medicine and was a department head at the local hospital before joining the Garrison Creek Cellars partnership. Garrison Creek Cellars is a boutique winery making only about 1000 cases each year. They make; Malbec, Cabernet, Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot and a little Zinfandel. Some of these are under 100 cases total production. Garrison Creek Cellars sits on the famous Les Collines vineyard. They sell about 97% of the fruit in their vineyard. They choose to keep their wines in small production and are also slow to arrive to market as they will not release anything before it's time...something I respect. When a winery releases their new reds, most are generally not ready to drink. They need to bottle age! Garrison Creek releases their wines when they are a little closer to being ready to drink when they arrive or are picked up. — 8 years ago

Classic chambolle. Elegance is the word! Complex and clean nose with red currant, cherry, roses and primordial earthiness. On the palate, seductive elegance with a silky texture and feather like mouthfeel and outstanding linearity. It slowly peels away the complexity with layers of red fruits, roses and the classic limestone undertones. Borniques is biodynamically farmed with winemaking synched with lunar cycles on a small parcel of 1.4 ha situated right above the famous ‘Les Amoureuses’ with vines planted almost on the rock. It explains the very linear structure. The tannins, acidity and alcohol were in brilliant harmony with a finish where the dance continues for well over 2 mins. I loved this and it reminded me why Chambolle-Musigny is one of my absolute favorite villages in Burgundy. — 5 years ago
