Ideal Chianti. Dry and pairs well with food, but also fruity enough to enjoy on it’s own. Notes of cola, cherry, and some vanilla. — 4 months ago
continuing in the vein of unusual Italian wines, we thoroughly enjoyed this 10 yr old Teroldego from Tuscany of all places: pouring a deep rich ruby, partially opaque with copious quantities of red fruit on the nose, some dark berried fruit as well, licorice, dirt & soil, peppery goodness some dried herbs and so on. complex and engaging, med bodied on palate, more fruit & spice, fleshy mild tannins and smooth finish - other than color, not showing its age. — 5 months ago
Excellent value second press valpolicella wine. Smooth dark fruits and fig with soft holiday spices. Well balanced. Better than some Amarone I’ve tasted at a portion of the price. Not spectacular like the better Amarone but a great everyday selection from the region. — 3 months ago
this lambrusco never fails! she’s a bit sweet but in a refreshing, summer-evening-windows-open kind of way — 4 months ago
