Nice refreshing bouquet of lemon zest and lime pith and fresh white peach with some minerally notes of pebbles and saline, and light oaky notes of cedar and pine. On the palate lemon, peach, and golden plum with notes of saline and hints of tangy white pepper with a subtle creaminess to the finish when it’s warmed up a bit. Very nice value from Portugal — a year ago

Delicious. Throw this is as a ringer among a bunch of top-flight Maconnais wines (e.g., Vire-Clesse, Pouilly-Fuisse) and it would fit right in. Nose has beautifully pure scents of crisp yellow orchard fruit and meadow flowers, as well as a clean stony note. In the mouth, it’s got deep fruit with almost a Semillon-like lanolin note, as well as deep minerality. Very full body with a bit of alcohol peeking through in the finish (it’s 13.5%, which doesn’t seem too high on paper, but it’s there). — 7 months ago
Delicious stuff! Encruzado is my fav white Portuguese grape - it has personality. Quince, preserved lemon, herbaceous notes. Nice acidity and structured mouthfeel. Very nice — 2 years ago
$10.40. White. Portugal. Fruity. Balanced acidity and minerality — 3 years ago
This wine is delicous. creamy, full body but bright acidity..white peach on the fruit. Its so balanced and tight..nice finish..can probably cellar it but such a great crushable wine would be hard to do. Not to mention value for under 20 dollars — 10 months ago
Great value with nice balance of fruit, floral, and strong mineral notes. — a year ago
Muted nose with some white flowers, light honey, fresh & quite cool.
On the palate with some weight (Encruzado influence?), a touch creamy, with some underripe white peach, white tea, a hint of bitter almond with a salty tang towards the mineral finish.
Not overly complex or too sophisticated,
but drinking nicely. — 3 years ago
