Actually a blend of Cab Sauv, Castelão, Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet. This wine is a very dark purple, almost inky. The nose is also dark, showing blackberry notes alongside savory tobacco, spice and earth, all in a very smokey framework. The palate of this interesting blend is nearly stunning. Tannins have a good grip, but the blue fruit flavors are amazing and the acidity leaves the sipper salivating. It seems bizarre to me that this wine cost less than $10. It drinks like it should cost much more.

Nice deep color with a great body. Excellent bouquet! Dark cherries and plum and a very enjoyable mouth feel. This is a keeper. — 3 years ago
Douro blend, bright and crisp acidity when first open. Some red fruit and pepper notes. Mellow tannins. Full body showing up late with more air. Low alc at 13.5%. Nice. — 10 months ago

This wine is an example that price has nothing to do with quality. Lots of fruity sweetness balanced with acidity, and with vanilla and tobacco. — 3 years ago

Funky nose of lemon, allspice and sulfur. Light-medium bodied. Beguiling on the palate. Lemon curd, green apple and slightly oxidized in a good way. — 2 months ago
