Miguel Torres

Limited Edition Sangre de Toro Original Grenache Blend 2019

Decent value #toro from #costco. Generous black/blue fruit finishing with bitter chocolate and coffee notes. Acidity is moderate-plus and medium tannins on finish. — 2 months ago

Antiche Terre Venete

Amore Assoluto (Absolute Love) Red Blend 2017

Medium bodied red, pronounced savory character on nose, some wild cherry, underbrush. Fruitier on the palate though pleasingly racy, faint soft tannins. Really quite nice paired with Fettuccine Alfredo and thick Chicago-style sausage pizza though some vanilla notes in the pairing suggest new oak was utilized to round out this cuvée. Nevertheless, there’s substantial QPR on this #veneto half-decade old wine for $9 at #costco — 6 months ago

Fort Ross

Sea Slopes Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2020

Strawberry, raspberry with touches of saline and spice box. Youthful palate. Fresh. Light, feels coastal. Bright red fruits, a touch of bramble and rhubarb. Solid. Plenty of length. Great QPR from #costco. — 7 months ago

Domaine Chanson (Chanson Père et Fils)

Le Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018

At four years this #bourgognerouge is showing savory notes. After initial new oak blows off, mushroom, cured meat, subtle red fruit, and faint peppery nose. Pleasant tartness, caramel and cola nut with notable tannins on finish. Fine QPR at under $15 on this #costco French Burgundy. — 7 months ago
