Dar rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, anise and limestone. Very cabernet in the mouth with the peppery register, rounded up by the ripe Merlot. Great acidity and balance, an excellent bottle just lacking a bit of complexity which is typical of the 2000 bordeaux. — 5 months ago
The lush fruit calmed down after 30+ minutes and the tertiary notes started to come about. Add some black tea to the mix made me a happy camper. I would score it higher if the finish was a little longer. No hurry to open this. — 7 months ago

classic, pure, old vine (60-80 yo) Burgundy. really clean and polished. — 5 months ago
Easy to drink. You can enjoy this well made wine with food or without. A little fat on your pallet will open up this accessible but not inexpensive wine and you will enjoy some nice fruits. — 5 months ago
Happy New Year! 🎉🎊🎈🎆 🧨
I believe @AndrewMcIntyre posted an 02 Mouton today & asked, “is there anything better than aged Bordeaux.” I replied, absolutely not!
1982 was the Bordeaux vintage Robert Parker built his career. He was the only one that called it correctly.
I love 80’s Bordeaux for the 12-12.5% ABV & style.
This is a Chateau-Négociant bottle bought in the last year. It’s still sound & singing w/ the Prime Rib. The fruit still solid.
The fruits are nice & and still sound. Blackberries, black raspberries, black plum pudding, raspberries, chocolate mousse, wet, volcanic clay/lava, spice, baking powder, clove, cinnamon, dark spice, fresh & old tobacco, used leather, soft, moist herbs, black tea, dark cola, dry soil, dry pebble, limestone, anise to black licorice, withering dark, red, blue & purple flowers, round, excellent acidity & a elegant, ripe, well balanced/structured finish that lasts a minute and land on earthiness. Soft as a feather.
What a treat to drink 80’s Bordeaux. Especially, 82. Not a terroir you would expect to hold up 40 plus years, but Chateau-Négociant storage is everything! — 6 months ago
The grapes are exclusively from head-trained (En Gobelet) dry-farmed blocks of the estate vineyard.
The ‘21 really showcases the freshness of the fruits with raspberry, strawberry, and blackberry scented with fresh herbs and light warm spices. Juicy and a bit crunchy palate. Very good concentration and purity. Lovely. — 8 months ago
Syrah oh ah - yes I rap, it’s a wrap — a year ago
Another solid vintage of this consistently good Provence Rose’. This vintage’s blend is Grenache (50%), Cinsault (30%) and Syrah (20%). Light pink in color with some lavender highlights. Fruit forward aromas of strawberry, watermelon, red flowers and lemon zest. Same fruity flavors with additional notes of peach, orange, and minerals. Touch of white pepper on the tart finish. Crisp, refreshing and clean with a faint hint of sweetness. Nice balance of acidity and alcohol (12.5%). Thanks for sharing, Chris B! Revisited in June 2025. Still fresh and bright. — 5 months ago

1985 Cru Borgeois from Bel Air Lagrave. Tobacco leaf, cigar smoke, really subtle leather. Very pretty. — 7 months ago
Finally found something we like more than Wairau River. Flavor is very simular, but Zynsy-pops-alot thinks it’s easier to drink. I agreed. — 8 months ago

Medium lemon colour , gold reflexes . Quite a lot of ripe yellow fruits , lemon rind and , orange flower . On the palate this is quite rich and round on the palate with yellow fruits, lemon rind , orange and almost some apricot or peach . Quite high alcohol but balanced acidity, good intensity , quite dense though just balanced overall. Would have preferred a little less weight and a bit more freshness . Alright length . This is ready now , but will probably last another 3-5 years but I wouldn’t leave it too long. — 4 months ago
