17+/20 (92+/100) Аромат чернослива, черешни, шоколада и легкой нотой кожи. Тельное с высокой кислотностью и молодыми, но не грубыми танинами. Отлично! #capewine2018 — 6 years ago
I love this wine! — 6 years ago
One of the handful of Viognier wines that I didn't push away after the first sip. Very strong floral and peachy-mango notes, but way more acid than I expected. Seriously. I won't call it typical because it's not often you see Viognier handled like this. — 8 years ago
I just had too………..
A Full body, bursting with energy, has panache and sophistication, plenty of patter and a good nose what more could you want or you expect, that’s our Mr P. 😂🤣😝 — 3 years ago
Found this wine at tasting in Boston urban grape shop. Great minerality, lemon and citrus but also slightly buttery as well — 5 years ago

I did not get to write notes on the last three wines, just scores. We had to get to Russell Hamilton.
However, I wish I had been able to write them as these were the wines I was looking forward to spending some time on.
Peter & Andrew Allan of Crystallum are the third generation of winemakers and sons of the man who pioneered Pinot Noir winemaking in the Hemel-en-Aarde which; is what drew me to the region that is about another hour plus SE of Stellenbosch and a very good area to produce Pinot Noir.

#capewine2018 — 6 years ago

Well, color me surprised. I’ve been to South Africa twice mainly in the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek areas but I’ve never had a Pinot noir from there. This was a revelation. I have to admit we were first eating it with an Indian style sausage and beet curry so it initially did not go well at all. After drinking it apart from the food, it was delicate and lovely. Definitely a nose of earthy forest floor and herbaceous drinking to very light, almost strawberry flavor to it. Well, balanced sweetness without being cloying and juicy enough to go well with what our dessert cheese course was. — a year ago
