Not every day you get to cross something off your bucket list! And for a 67 still had some lovely voloptuous dark fruit. Tannin like fine silk. I cant stop smiling. — 10 years ago
My kind of wine. Strong and in your face without being too dry. — 10 years ago
The 2012 is Zin-like! Fruit & spice and everything nice. Fruit up front, with a lingering peppery finish. This red blend remains a great daily driver. Be careful, the 14.5% will 'steal your face' if you don't check yourself! — 10 years ago
Put this on the shelf for a few years. Great dark berry and cherry but enough tannin to ripe your face off! Splash decant if drinking young! — 11 years ago
Soft on the palate. One of the best!! BUY ASAP. Hints of cherry. Drink this wine with a gorgeous girl and your night is set — 9 years ago
While not as chalky as I would have expected, it's elegance remains consistent. Stimulating your salivary glands with notes of apricot and honeysuckle. — 10 years ago
Wow... So many flavors in this wine. It's quite a treat to your mouth. Smooth with a great mid taste and a long finish — 10 years ago
Oenomaniacs don't have pearly gates, we have Domaine de la Romanee Conti La Tache 1990. Outrageously sexy, with a celestial perfume of asian spices and underbrush and dried cherry. Eternal finish that tattoos itself on your tongue and palate. Medium to full-bodied, with startling freshness and grip for a quarter-centurion. La Tache 1990 will enthrall for another 30 to 50 years.

Just a nice balance of flavors... — 10 years ago
Take your pick, @Delectable Wine ! All were brilliant, although the younger Bourgogne and Cote Rotie took the spotlight. Brilliant wines top to bottom. — 10 years ago
Extremely concentrated and dense so if you're in the camp of "bigger is better" (well, then you're wrong ;-), this will be right up your alley.
Impressive for its sheer strength this should have a long life ahead and I look forward to tasting it again with 10+ years in the cellar.

Not your typical Sauvignon Blanc but just as delicious! — 10 years ago
Drinking a Boxer is like reconnecting with that old friend that you got into street fights with as a kid. On first glance, nothing has changed. Still fighting and swinging with black cherry and dark chocolate mixed with leather and spice, powerful punches that leave a sting. But time has mellowed you out. You are still all street at heart, rough and edgy, but now your bark is bigger than your bite. — 10 years ago
Chocolate cover strawberries... Smooth and deep w/flavor. Way over Anthony's head w/out a cigar to add tobacco and smokiness. Allow to open for 30min and the flavors will burst out of the bottle, into your glass w/delite... — 10 years ago

I'd get to drinking your 97's now. Good...great actually but beginning to lose a lot. Cork was quite soft on mine. Flavor...like California...but smoother ;-) — 11 years ago
It is not every day that you get to drink your birth year. Especially when it was 40 years ago. It is just amazing standing fully mature but with what seems like an endless life. 1975 for ever!! — 11 years ago

What a sublime and elegant wine. I'd be turned off by the waiting list but now that I have my hands on a bottle...holy heck it is just so refined. Not a jam-monster, not too light...it is the Goldilocks of Zin. Blog review coming shortly but know getting on the list is good if you like an aristocratic Zin. If you don't it may not be your jam...literally. But I am INTO this. — 9 years ago
