Good, but not my favorite. Very different from the Ruinart we had before. Much darker in color and significantly more tannins. — 4 months ago

Tons of acid and also oxidized slightly. I really love these wines. 👌🏻 — 7 years ago
Tasted blind. Medium gold color. Killer old white burg nose. Notes of lemon creme, white dry soil, some spice, a little honey. Rich and powerful in the mouth. Some fine acidity on the finish causes some pucker. Very interesting overall profile, and my guess is I’ve never had this before which is accurate. I go with a 95 Corton Charlie as a guess. The power and great mouthfeel expanded as this absorbed air over the afternoon. Each sip better than the last. — 5 years ago
Lovely southern Rhône white blend from the Barossa at Heckfield Place, The Sun House restaurant - partnered both fish and meat dishes well. — 6 years ago

A perfect and very special Thanksgiving dinner accompaniment. Crisp, strawberry notes, nice and dry. Delicious! — 5 years ago
super interesting expression, not too much toast, lemon, good acid, amber color — 5 years ago
Tasted blind. Light tawny and translucent. Old wine nose. Notes of soft delicate red fruit, light rhubarb, some mushroom and some sweet cherries. In the mouth it’s missing impact and energy. Acidity is very light. Past it’s prime, although I wonder if this was open too long as the host said it was singing when opened, but then had 6 hrs in the decanter. Guessed mid 60s red burg. — 6 years ago
