Popped and poured; no formal notes. Probably the best Donum I’ve had. Strawberry and herbs and baking spices. Seems like it’s got stem inclusion. Tannin and acid is all there; solid structure. Drink now through 2032. — a year ago

Happy New Year Delectable!

It's a pinot noir new year (Clos De La Roche, Donum west slope pinot, Schramsberg blanc de noir) with an oven roasted chicken dinner!

Double decant and pour the Clos de la Roche. A formidable medium ruby red color. On the nose: spicy cherry, forest floor, slight menthol, raspberry, mushrooms. Taste: smooth, creamy, lush, structured wine with cherry, gamey, minerals, and a spiced strawberry medium plus dry still some tannins kicking finish. Nice start to the night. Cheers! — 4 years ago
