Dark garnet color. Aromas of earth, tobacco, dried dark cherries/raspberries, menthol, dried rose petals and violets. The palate is more dark fruit driven (black cherry/raspberry/plum) with hints of forest floor and minerals. Touch of Brett and oak on the long and tingly finish. Nicely structured with fine grained tannins. Crisp acidity and medium bodied. The tertiary notes take the lead. Gets better as it opens up. — 5 months ago
Picked this up a few months ago from the state store when I saw Louis Dressner. Seems different from the only other fleurie I’ve had. Lots of earth juice with raspberry. — 3 years ago
Bright ruby red with pink rim . Quite open and juicy, fresh and enticing , red cherry , raspberry , strawberry , with just a touch of fresh cut herbs . On the palate quite ripe red fruits noted on the nose with just a hint of smokiness. Finishes clean and fresh and with good acidity , ripe fine tannin, good balance and ok length . Quaffable, moreish and nicely judged Côtes du Rhône to drink now and over the next 7-10 years . — 5 months ago

Fresh, balanced acidity, hay and lemon — 7 months ago
Almost menthol - all of the jam is nicely integrated. Just a hint of smoke and intrigue. — 8 months ago
This superb wine is my first Savignin from Côtes-du-jura. It has a fine pale golden hue which exudes fine notes of lemon, apple blossom and a hint of walnuts. Round and generous with wonderful acidity, I’m sure this wine will cellar really well and be equally enjoyable after several years of aging. We elected to pair this beauty with a hot smoked salmon, asparagus-ribbons, and capers in a lemon zest, creme-fraiche sauce accompanying a delicate angel hair pasta. The entire meal and wine pairing was perfect. — 3 years ago

Fun sparkling gamay…total crowd pleaser — 5 months ago
Purchased at Binnys September 2023. Might be better to save a bottle from 2017, but it was still very delicious. I’m trying more wines from France’s Rhône Valley in anticipation of visiting there in 2024.
