Dory had the 2013 tonight and texted me and said: "Neal would love this wine! Wow. It tastes like velvet." She's buying out O'Brians supply of it. — 10 years ago

So far a disappointing "neutral" nose but an excellent upfront fruit balanced with medium body and medium to long finish. Excellent juice. — 11 years ago
Delicious and has proper typicity (how did "we" invent that term?). Needs time but handles its alcohol well. Unlike a college student. Whaaaaa? @Delectablewine It's Royer not Roger — 11 years ago
2007 vintage of this #wine is drinking great -love this vineyard in #chambollemusigny #sommchat — 11 years ago
What's the special occasion? It's Sunday, have cassoulet in the oven, and this bottle is open. — 12 years ago

This was my WOTN; a spectacular achievement by Sam Kaplan to make a wine that have everything in one place for the palette to experience. The oak was balanced with the fruit and as good as the wine was on its own it was wonderful with steak too. This wine is available in such limited supply that you should run to Mertitage and buy a three back while you can. This wine rivals a Shrader at half the cost. — 10 years ago

#dressner is killing it with this port. Getting high on this supply — 11 years ago
1993 Perfect bottle, zero ullage, no idea how it was kept so pristine. Wine was in great shape too: dense, tannins still firm, fruit, but earth and mint both in good supply. Lovely priorato — 11 years ago
Simply amazing.... — 11 years ago

With roasted chicken and duck fat roasted potatoes. Better showing than six months ago. Fruit, floral, earth matrix more aligned, if primary. Rebuy. — 13 years ago
This wine was amazing at tasting. The nose is ripe with red fruit, the wine is incredibly balanced with pepper, terroir, and fruit. The finish is smooth and pleasant leaving you wanting more. — 10 years ago
Love it! I wish i had a life supply of this licorice cherry, sanguid earthy slightly woodsy refreshing good — 10 years ago

Red cherry, plum, violet. M body and M+ tannin. Needs a little time but drinkable now. — 11 years ago
2012 Vintage. This Syrah-based organic wind has a great depth to it - rich ruby color, fine aromas of black fruit and a pleasant earthiness and well balanced tannin and black fruit on the palate. Surprisingly harmonious and elegant, long on the palate and with great finesse. Because of the hype from the 2006 film A Good Year for which this wine was created it is in short supply but it is a lot more than some press agent's marketing creation. It's a lovely wine that holds its own in any company — 11 years ago
Red fruit with multi layers 3 years in large oak This is a very good wine but in limited supply — 11 years ago

Smell like lemon and fermenting pizza dough. Peach, pineapple, cream and a dry, persistent finish. This has weight and length. Really good for the price — 9 years ago
