Smells a little like cotton candy and exhibits notes of cedar, clove, prune, cherry, red rose, eucalyptus with perceivable mint-traits. In another dimension this may be a cousin of Heitz's Martha's Vineyard. Awesome to have with bbq'd steak, garlic bread and knowing this is the only winery for this AVA ( just 20 miles south of where I got to imbibe this 400 case production of local goodness. ) — 9 years ago
With a lot of air this baby was singing. A baby Meursault with its funkiness but layered with that peaches and cream/cotton candy oak. — 10 years ago
This is extremely resonant of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Cool damp forest floor with bright hibiscus, wintergreen, and tart cherry notes. Touches of cremini and cotton candy keep me sipping. A classic. — 10 years ago
1317.00. Best cotton Charlemagne I've had. Great balance of acid and oak — 12 years ago
Day 3: nose really opened up well, with more depth. Cherry preserves, toffee, tar, clove and licorice. Dark red fruit and leather notes prevail on the palate. Super dry, like cotton moth dry. Tart cherry and cranberry are there too. Alcohol spikes a bit. Finish delivers. Solid now, but I’d cellar for at least 5 more years. Opened this 2013 after two bottles of the 2012 were oxidized, one more than the other. — 8 years ago
N: Peach, melon, perfume
T: Oxidized unripe Bartlett pear, cotton candy, some tannins on the finish. Just a touch more acid and less residual sugar and this would have been a 10/10 — 9 years ago
Smells of cotton candy. Tastes of caramel and candy. Love, but def. Really sweet — 10 years ago
Oh Rattlesnake how I love you! The most unique "cotton candy" element I've had in dark brooding Napa mountain Cab. What a view from your picnic table too! — 10 years ago

Lots of marzipan, cotton candy and some banana cream. Really good length, acids and minerals on the finish. — 9 years ago
Tart cherry. Ink soaked cotton. Stem. — 9 years ago
Great Italian Merlot very massetto like in flavor. This wine is ruby red and has black cherry, black current and strawberry soft cotton candy flavors. The wine is now 7 years old smelling sweeter then it tastes, the sweet berry fruit has muted and the tannins have mellowed, giving way to a slight acidic note. The oak is very mild with graphite flavors lending itself to a slight bitter note on the back end. Decanting is a must allowing the full Flavors to open up. This is a big bold merlot and a merlot drinkers wine! — 10 years ago
I am so happy to be trying this Pinot Grigio from north eastern Italy, Alto Adige. I have read a few articles on this region and my friend Erik had been taking it up lately so I had to jump in with both feet. The aromas are wonderful with peach, pear, melon, cotton candy, and bubble gum. The palate is very smooth with a rich round mouthfeel and the full fruit of peach and pear. There is a bright & lively acidity and a touch of chalky minerality on the backend. This is at a great QPR $16.79 — 11 years ago

Raspberry, strawberry fruit roll up. Delicate body. Cotton candy / bubble gum on palette. Suggestion of spice. Don't chill unless you want to miss out on all the aromas. — 8 years ago
