Blueberry wafting out - — a year ago
Exquisite. Balanced. Floral notes and balanced with white and pale yellow fruits. Enjoy alone or with food. Just so elegant. — 5 years ago
Tasted blind. Reddish tawny color. Edges suggest its old. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, iron, roses. Some zing and power in the nose. Slaps your face when tasted. Sappy. Powerful impact. Long finish. Other guesses were in Burgundy land eg Griotte but I went with 90 Rayas. Bingo. — 6 years ago
Yeasty bread, ripe and slightly browned Fuji and honeycrisp apple, hint of pineapple. Crisp but not bracing, fine bubbles. — 2 years ago
Third rating for this: started at 10 degrees , and warmed up to around 15-18 in a warm 29 degrees tropical Singapore. Was fresh, crisp, lemon-like at first, followed by zesty mandarin orange flavours that finally matured to mellow honey apricots. Best of all coloured like the upcoming Chinese New Year - perfect gold. — 5 years ago
Low pressure of course. Vinous. — 5 years ago
Had the 2009 vintage in July 2019 in Kairon with family for birthday celebration. Excellent. — 6 years ago
Gorgeous nose. Chestnut, tar, leather, roses, old books, classic Nebbiolo. Palate has sweet sweet cherry fruit and nice density with terrific high acid and structure. Needs an hour to get going. Really intense 2010 structure but thrilling fruit. — 7 years ago
Vigorously poured into a decanter about 30 minutes prior to service; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2017 Gabutti “Pie Rupestris” pours a deep garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with heavy notes of ripe and tart Morello cherry, fresh cut roses (stems and all!), tar, dried herbs, exotic eastern spices, talcum powder and dried earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, though everything seems to be enhanced on the palate; powerful! The finish is super long. This is a gorgeous example of 2017 Barolo and likely one of the very finest of the vintage. Drink now through 2067. — 9 months ago

Pinotman /// Andreas
Plenty of tannins left. 25bucks. Those were the days! 14%| Quite classic. Browne tinge. Needs at least 2-3 hours of air. Quite harsh and astringent. Roses, earthy and dusty, very dry. Hint of truffles. - Not super exciting at first (15min) so wait. Will last another 10 years - but i do worry about the fruit component if you need space in your cellar - i would suggest drink up. I will. Some folks tend to hype these wines i don’t - after all this is their most basic version with a large production volume. Total volume is 500,000 bottles a year at this cooperative. My guess they to make a lot of this one. — 4 months ago
