Côtes du Roussillon. Macabeu / carinyena. Bio de petit celler , fruitat i amb cos , final mineral amb avellanes i poma.
Plaça del vi 7. Calamarsons amb crema d’escarxofes i moll de l’os. — 6 years ago
Fruit driven with seducing upper palate acidity and gulpy mouth watering tension. Natural and pure. Holds oxidation for around one hour - be aware. — 6 years ago
My first Cerasuolo...So fresh and natural! The bright cherry fruit really shines here supported by crystal clear mineral and earthen truffle elements. Tannins are soft and fine, acids are mild yet persistent, hence a wide range of food pairings are possible. But of course this resonated so well with black truffle risotto and a lamb sausage ravioli. — 7 years ago

C'est toujours aussi bon. Rose, confiture de fraise, canne à sucre. — 8 years ago
Very, very nice classic Napa Cabernet...in the best way possible. Had not had Mayacamas before and was excited to try this, and it delivered. Might have guessed an old world Graves if blind. 12.5%, super balanced. Green pepper and some good medicinal notes. Long finish with really excellent acid keeping everything lifted. Definitely ready to drink and really nice. — 5 years ago
Petrol. Peach and apricot. Smell and think it’s sweet but totally dry. Incredibly smooth texturally. Like desiccated fruit in Vaseline (in the best way possible) — 6 years ago
Cork was in excellent shape for being a 1998. The wine is not likely to improve but it’s a solid wine now and still has life left. Medium body, medium acidity and gripping tannin but not harsh. The fruit has given way to earthier tones with a bit of Brett. There’s a singed element or perhaps tar. Stewed fruit and cigar box as well. This was seemingly better on day 2, if that is even possible (though tightly corked overnight). This I’m bumping this to the 90s. — 6 years ago
Clean as a whistle, chuck it a decent if possible — 7 years ago
Very exceptional Sonoma County, Alexander Valley cab. Starts warm and bold but mellows very, very nicely. Decant if possible. — 7 years ago
Tasting notes from the Judgement of Paris anniversary event at Cadillac Wines...
Great body, beautiful vanilla like nose. Pitch dark blackberries and powerful tannins. Though putting away is definitely possible, definitely feel like this is best within 3-5 years. — 8 years ago
Tons of smoke. Like licking a bbq grate, in the best possible way — 8 years ago
As good an example as is possible to imagine of this wine. Very cloudy, ruby colored in the light. Much more purity on the nose with leather, dried leaves, closet. On the palate the wine still has a red fruit quality alongside gorgeous tar, leather and cloves. Long finish. Drinking this was a lovely way to ring in my birthday. — 6 years ago
@Jason Lee love this juice! Funky enough... having it on a dozen ice cubes — 6 years ago
Just love this wine. Need to buy as much as possible as the price will jump up quickly. — 8 years ago

And they call this their “second” wine. After McHenry in Santa Cruz, Seavey was an absolute show stopper for me on our recent trip to wine country. We had the opportunity to try five different wines with three bonus pours from recent and library wines and I tell you: All 👏🏼 eight 👏🏼 were 👏🏼 bangers 👏🏼. From their Chardonnay (which was sprung on us the moment we arrived, was acid driven and had the most delightful spine of minerals that I could have sworn it was GC Chablis), to their Rosé (which is a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend and bends what’s possible with the genre) to their Founder’s Reserve (which didn’t present much in the value dept. but was a killer wine nevertheless). Anyway, this 2005 Caravina is positively singing right now. Opulent amounts of plums, cassis, brambles, and sweet tobacco with secondary characteristics juuuuust starting to make their appearance: leather, truffle, and forest floor. Moderate acid. Firm tannins still! What a beauty...in a sort of masculine way. America! — 5 years ago
