Enjoyed this by a campfire in new aluminium wine glasses. Dry, slight hint of sweetness. Crisp and fresh with a tart finish in a good way. Nice drinkable wine. — 4 years ago
Slightly mineraly & tart with a semi-dry green apple fruity finish. I probably am describing this completely wrong as I am no connoisseur so don’t listen to me, this is really only for my own personal reference. My new fav, it’s 🔥 — 5 years ago
Lime and minerals on the nose. Tart strawberries and slightly effervescent on the palate. Can't really do better on an 80 degree evening, sitting on the lawn of the Wisconsin State Capitol ❤️ — 6 years ago
New world Chablis emulation but with a little more ripe fruit character and butter notes. Butter mochi, ripe green apple, cooked apples. Really tart finish with duality if fruit character. 0 new oak usage in this wine, fermented in used oak barrels and battonage for a year. Not your typical Napa chardonnay by any means but elegant and pretty. Perfumed and pretty. — 7 years ago
The hit of the Cards Against Humanity with charcuterie event. Crisp, notes of tart cherries. Paired with the cheeses and meats very well. $15@ Houston Wine Merchant — 7 years ago
The 2013 Comtes de Champagne is a towering Champagne, as it was last year. Rich, sumptuous and explosive, the 2013 soars out of the glass with a captivating mix of tropical fruit, apricot, passion fruit, baked apple tart, mint and yellow flowers. It is one of the most explosive, extroverted Comtes I have ever tasted. Impressive. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2024)

This will please some garnacha fans, though I can’t say it’s my ideal Reserva blend. 78% Tempranillo and 22% garnancha, which seems like way too much. Has a sweaty sock aroma that blends with some cherry and vanilla flavors. Almost like a tart cherry pie. The cherry flavors continue throughout with some chocolate and a bit of caramel. Round and silky, and seems loosely structured. Just slightly less dimensional than I would want. — 3 years ago
Really nice Sauvignon Blanc with a nice tart grapefruit finish. Great buy and nicely priced. — 5 years ago
Great fruit flavors, nice bubbles, tart acidity. looking forward to this in the summer. — 6 years ago
Perfect for a 90 degree day on vacation in the outer banks. So refreshing! Sun dried strawberries, slightly tart lime zest, and watermelon. Mouth watering sea water salinity and bright acidity makes this amazing! This is probably the best rose I have had this year! — 7 years ago
2016 Cos Frappato and Sun Ra. Visionaries together. Wine is tart, fresh blackberry with moderate structure. Love the weight on this one. Packs a ton of deep fruit without any heaviness on a hot evening. The record is a great place to get to know the relaxed side of Sun Ra. Great things which go great together. — 7 years ago
Characteristic of the region, this gamay has a nice purple color and is very aromatic with ripened tart red fruit and spices. Few tannins, low to medium acidity, and great smoothness. Some baking spices and raspberry, it drinks fresh. Has a depth and complexity that drinks at a higher price point. — a year ago
Coffee rye with baked, black currants, dried blackberry, cherrywood, cedar, light pepper, potable, African violet, fig, sarsaparilla and thyme. Grippy, grainy tannins awash in tart black cherry, cinnamon and savory. Young and green with tight tart edges, but open just enough to appreciated the complexities. Underrated sleeper vintage that just might come together. Finish is obfuscated at this juncture. Espresso is my guess, though!

First time with this wine, and I loved it. Underripe lime, white peach, and melon with striking minerality and a saline finish. Feather light body, slight effervescence, and tart acidity just pushes it over the edge. Ultimate hot summer day wine. If only they sold it in gallon size jugs. — 3 years ago
Alluring is the best word that I can come up with to describe this one. Youthful, fresh, complex and approachable. Red fruit — both sour and tart. The tannins and acidity are well in balance. So glad I have a few more because I see this improving over the next several years. — 5 years ago
Monthly WTF wine group night. Our theme was American oak vs French oak. All wines tasted blind. We started off with two bottles of bubbly and finished with two non-themed reds.
My contribution for the evening. I’m posting my previous review of this wine below as it’s been consistent the few times I’ve had it over the last 12-18 months. Love these wines!
Youthful. Icredibly perfumed with typical sweet dill and coconut American oak on the nose. Gosh, I could smell this stuff all day. Aside from needing time away, it needs roughly an hour of decanting to hit stride. Tobacco, cherry tart, and great herbal nuances on the finish. — 6 years ago
Lovely, luscious earthy and tart. Excellent balance and finish. — 7 years ago

Pretty color of ruby with a wide brick rim.
Nose of red fruits, tobacco leaf, light wood, spices, coffee, black pepper, vegetables and herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, fresh cherries, spices, light oak and espresso.
Short finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice 11 year old Barolo.
A little tight right out of the bottle, and needed 90 minutes of airtime.
Fruity on the nose and earthy on the palate. Elegant and soft.
Still feels very young and would be nice to revisit it in a few years.
Not as complex as I expected it to be, but showed a beautiful nose once it opened up.
Not balanced at this point, and a little tart for me. Could be this specific bottle though.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for 30 months.
14% alcohol by volume.
89 points.
