Was lucky to be invited by Raj and the Evening Land crew to dinner tonight to taste through some of the old wines side by side with the new releases. Before and after we tasted some of Raj and Sashi’s favorite wines and champagnes. This was one of the best wines I’ve ever tasted in my life. Rene Bouvier is perhaps my favorite lesser known producer. I'm absolutely in love with his wines, be it a village Marsannay or an aged Grand Cru Échezeaux. And this bottle proves my love right — elegant, cherry pie infused young fruit, deliciously balanced even at this silly age. It's like a kid who can't lie yet — absolutely adorable and very fun to be around with. Please, please try it!
