This Pinot from Oregon sets high standards and gives the California pinots a run for their money. Would put in the same Cayley as Lynmar and Selyem — 5 years ago
The aromatics show fresh red berries, strawberries, some spices and a floral aspect to it as well. Delicious and fresh palate, juicy, medium bodied, the strong acidity balanced by the silky and rounded tannins. Beautiful and very Burgundian style.
— 5 years ago
Drank with BBQ at dad’s in Enid while packing wine cellar for move. Dark, slightly rich blueberry, blackberry. Spice although it could be the bbq. Very smooth. A little lighter on the medium-length finish than I remember. May be trending down with age. Very good wine. — 7 years ago

A wine that is memorable — 8 years ago
Really a wonderful cote rotie in a prime drinking window at ~10 years. 13% abv which is appreciated. Very balanced with wonderful length. Great acid. Quite typical Syrah on the nose. Mouth filling with nice deep fruit and some earth. Great pairing with terrine and wild hare at Auberge Bressane in Paris. — 2 years ago

Dark, youthful purple. Powerful, smoke- and mineral-accented aromas of ripe dark berries, licorice, olive and a hint of incense on the deeply perfumed nose. Juicy and sharply delineated in the mouth, offering concentrated, spice-laced blackberry, bitter cherry and fruitcake flavors that take on a smoky aspect as the wine opens up. In an ample but lively style, finishing juicy and extremely long, with building tannins adding framework and youthful grip. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, April 2020)

Took awhile to open up. Alcohol and licorice on the nose. Very full and floral. Thin and acidic on the palate. Kind of dry too — 6 years ago

Killer killer nose. White cherry Nahe love. Apricot, peach, spice, lanolin, vanilla extract. So pretty. So ebullient. Very open aromas. Herbs. Very complex. Very serene. Wonderful peach skin. Palate is massive, complex, tangy, refined and young with massive fruit skin and fruit pith flavors. Amazing purity and balance. Ripe but perfect freshness and minerality offset it. As it airs the minerality becomes more aromatically pungent. Really delicate but now also super mineral and saline. That sweet type of saline. Really long and delineated. Lovely structured finish. Really really long. Terrific. Really top level finesse with air and a terrific crystalline saline structure. Salty and long. Nose gets more pluot. As it airs slightly confectionary. — 5 years ago
The one and only. One of the best values in all of German wine. Stunning nose. Smells as deep as a GG. Just insane. The aromas of the fruit are so clean and so precise. Just amazing. Peach skin, peach flesh, apricot, nougat, caramel aromas show this is baby Hergott. It’s so precise and so clean but also nuanced and deep. Just a stunning nose. Glorious spice and deep deep minerals. Airy. So so killer. Blind I’d say GG. Wow. I love this wine. So so salty in 2019! U la la! Juicy and so concentrated but elegant and energetic. Sappy peach and apricot fruits on the finish. But also laser like, rapier like minerality. Amazingly pure and deep. So balanced and serene. A zen like experience. Long finish that alternates between fruit, saline and gorgeous mineral. Amazing mouthfeel and purity. Just a stunning Molsheim. Clean finish that just echoes and slowly dissipates. So beautiful.
After some air wow. Herbs on the nose. Hit of honey and the minerals start to waft. Stunning balance and freshness and complex spice and ridiculous fruit on the finish. This is amazing. — 5 years ago
The ‘Grace Vineyard’ Pinot Noir is a barrel selection from this exceptional site in the Dundee Hills AVA. The aromas are intoxicating right out of the gate, as this warm vintage Pinot Noir is not needing a long decant. Rose water, ripe red plums, strawberry puree and guava aromas all combine with lovely earthy and wet rock nuances that all are woven together in the beautifully glass. Exuding sheer class on the palate, this gorgoeus Pinot Noir slowly unveils ripe red fruits that mingle with minerals, potpourri, exotic spices and shades of wild blackberry jam. The silky texture entices and adds to this wonderful drinking experience. Fantastic in its youth, the Grace Vineyard Pinot Noir will shows wonderful promise for an exceedingly long evoloution ahead. 2010 vintage. Black cherry and black currant with cigar box and allspice and a touch of multi-grain on the nose. Black and bing cherry with chewy tannins and rooibos. Plum tartness, and an interesting grape-y aspect. Ripe currant and licorice.
This is more like it!
