Presented to me blind at Tasting Group. The wine appears bright yellow with medium viscosity; no signs of sediment, gas or particles. On the nose, the wine is developing with ripe orchard fruit: stone fruits, lemons, white flowers, lanolin and minerals. On the palate the wine is off-dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and full of character. The alcohol is medium+. Initial conclusions: this could be Chenin Blanc, Riesling or Chardonnay from France, Germany or the United States. But I didn’t get any petrol so I eliminated Riesling and I don’t think you could get the balance of fruit and high acid from California Chardonnay (and the oak would probably be so pronounced). So I called Chenin Blanc from France, from the Loire, Vouvray Demi-Sec. Well…I should have known this could be Joly! Close…but some miles away from each other and I’d like to have the confidence to call producer in this case. Drink now through 2034. — 7 months ago

Very aromatic Riesling from Alsace. Melon, white flowers, orange peel, even hint of ginger on those nose. Beautiful deep yellow, almost gold color. Mouth watering acidity with a persistent finish — 6 years ago
Green crisp Granny Smith, fresh lemon, cilantro, grass, glycerol, crushed wet stone on the palate. Fresh and zippy. Med+ finish. Intense and concentrated. Slightly tannic. Bone dry. — 2 years ago
second chablis from a zoom blind tasting with a friend preparing for a test.
a little better than the last one.
high acidity.
medium - body
citrusy. salty.
i was even guessing oak 🙈 as its so balanced.
paired lovely with quarantine McDonald's kids had for lunch (not so good food which was no surprise), orange soup (mainly sweet potato with chopped fresh green onion) and leek cutlet with pepper sauce.
no wonder chablis is so big in israel and the whole world. simple, tasty and satisfying. especially for it's price. stating the obvious, but still.

Slightly shy on the nose, but big and bold on the palate. Vanilla, peaches, apricots, lots of peppery spice, buttered biscuits, lavishly oaked as well.
