Lime and salt on the nose and palate, a light body, lime zest acidity, and lovely lingering minerals. — 7 months ago
The best white wine in the world. Chardonnay Langhe. With Paolo and Valentina, and my son Davide. Memorable — 9 months ago
And this is a real surprise. The wine is fresh with very elegant citrus finish. And an apple, a lime and some wet stone note. Great with a cheesecake. — 5 years ago

Popped and poured. The 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo “Maggiur” pours a pale garnet color with a watery rim and a transparent core. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with moderate intensity redolent of tart red fruits: raspberries, strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, dried roses, dried herbs (but not enough for you to go to Sangiovese), sandstone minerals. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Full bodied. Alcohol is medium. Confirming the notes on the nose. Finish is medium+. An elegant, pretty expression of Nebbiolo. Really lovely. Drink now with some patience but this should drink well through 2028. — 6 months ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. Bright golden color; persistent mousse; lemon citrus, meringue, brioche for dayzzz. Fantastic acid. Long finish. Gastronomic bubbles but so good it can be enjoyed on its own. This is far and away the greatest sparkling wine I’ve yet had from Italy. A wow wine. Too bad it’s priced like tête de cuvée Champagne. Regardless, whenever someone is pouring it, you should shift your attention to this. “I know I would. Heck, I’d go back for seconds!” Drink now or over the next 10+ years. — 9 months ago
2012 - needed time to open up — 10 months ago
Darker colour than the 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo tried earlier in the week. A little more rustic and less expressive on the palate but remains true to Piedemont with rose and cherry flavours and appealing texture. New grape variety for me which is interesting. Lower price point so accessible entry to the Rinaldi style which I’m currently thinking is similar to Bartolo but a less little less savoury. — 3 years ago
After a long day of changing diapers this wine really hits the spot. Now I am conditioned like Pavlov's dog to think of poop everytime I smell it. Fantastic! — 5 years ago
Nice everyday wine from an older and less common grape. Better day 2. Aromatic with strawberries and candied cherries. Slightly tart on opening but smooth day 2. Raspberry, strawberry, clove and some mineral. Moderate finish. — 6 months ago
It’s good. — 7 months ago
I had this over a couple of days and it improved with time. It’s a medium bodied, fairly rustic new world Rhône blend. You really get the whole cluster fermentation straight away, maybe a bit too much today but might integrate more in with further cellaring. On the palate it has an inky texture and plenty of fruits, olives, earth, herbs and a distinct note of salty liquorice. A bottle to revisit in the future. — 9 months ago

— 5 years ago

Pickup from my local wine shop. Another win for langhe Nebbiolo for 2021. This one is quite classic. Lighter in the glass, great fruit, balanced acid, nice dried flower and earth. Good value. — 6 months ago
