One of my favorite small production wine, 300 cases. Cal Nicholson spent his youth in So. CA & after a long marketing career he hung up his spurs to follow his 2 real interests in life – surfing & wine making. Jones is the maiden name of Cal’s wife Pam. A wonderful wine. Aromas of lemon citrus with herb, stone & tropical fruits. Palate, peach, Granny Smith apple & ripe melon flavors with lively citrus zest wrapped in lbalanced acidity. Lingering finish ending with mineral citrus finish. Consistent! Nice! — 6 years ago
What a screaming fun wine! Low alcohol, unique, fruit forward but balanced, red berries and Italian herbs and some hints of balsamic. The texture was light with some slight effervescence. Thank you Stolpman for making unique and much needed wines! — 7 years ago
I’m really beginning to see this transition where the 2013s-16s of Rhône and Burgundy are already so drinkable and showing ripe fruit. Like they are making them to drink now, this winemaking style is showing a little more fruit extraction and from what I’ve seen here in Napa, you’re sacrificing the ability to age there for the early drinkability. Hopefully I’m wrong and these are all just warmer vintages. I just wanna see these wines reach their potential 10/20 years out — 8 years ago
Well...when you & your wife find out you’re (unexpectedly) pregnant there’s only one wine that comes to mind for making the announcement. Cheers to Baby V coming in 2019 🥂🙌🏻 #unexpectedlyexpecting — 8 years ago

Nice subtle cherry & tobacco notes. Dull flavour that is making its way to my heart. — 9 years ago
Winery located in Alba, the Piedmont region was founded by its namesake in 1881. Great Grandson, Pio Boffa, continues the tradition of innovative wine making. Ruby with dried red fruit aromas and herb floral scents. On the palate sour cherry & raspberry, cinnamon, toasty nuts, licorice and herb notes. Full soft tannins bring fruit to lingering finish ending with earthy mineral. Wonderful! — 6 years ago
Definitely my favorite Rose, but the price in Israel is about double, making it too expensive for an afternoon break. — 7 years ago
Intoxicating aromatics. Oak presence is well felt - turns out it’s 100% new - but there’s also a raft of florals, think roses and violets along with ripe dark cherry and plum. Really composed in the palate with seemless acidity & oak tannin just making itself known pulling in at the back. Impressive wine, would be decisive though due to heavy handed oak. — 7 years ago
The 2001 Clos Mogador was stunning aged drank in 2017 but this 2013 @ £65, now £80-£100 as a 98 Parker pointer, has massive potential 😁 Beautiful now but give this 10+yrs & you have a fab priced 98+ point wine in the making 😍 28k bottles so buy if you can 👍

Big with plenty of different flavors and tastes making the a classic Cab from Napa any savvy wine lover would enjoy Guy Keely’s friend — 8 years ago
The first bottle from our sons birth year. The second bottle will be consumed many years from now, when he is old enough to drink. Rich and dark fruits that we all feel will age perfectly. It's Tempranillo grapes that are ripened just to the point of too much making a wine that's rich but balanced and complex. Looking forward to the future. — 8 years ago

In 2005 Marie and Frédéric Chauffray came across the perfect plot of land—25 acres on the plateau of Arboras in Terrasses du Larzac, situated in the Langeudoc. They sold the prestigious wine shop they owned outside Paris and embarked upon the dream of making wine, together founding Domaine de La Réserve d'O. Berry fruit and cacao notes. Cherry and mocha with spice and fine tannins. Lingering finish with ending with mineral notes. — 9 years ago
Color a is murky red brown. Nose—a sweet red cherry plum and forest floor barn yard funk with green veggie. A slight menthol lingering. Taste— Sweet strawberry tea flavors hit the pallet. A slight smoky and tobacco medium finish with touches of currant, tea and spices hanging around making the wine soft and pleasant and wanting more. Tannins have sweeten but definitely still there! — 6 years ago
Visited the vineyard and tasted their entire portfolio. The wines are fantastic and the owners are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Truly a special vineyard making killer wines. — 7 years ago

Happy Father’s Day! Wonderful pull by my father in law.
I’m a big fan of this winery as you don’t see them around very much. Such high quality with impeccable wine making. Slow ox for 1-2hrs. 95 merlot/5 CabFranc. Espresso and dark cocoa dusted black cherry, ripe blackberry and currant aromatics...intoxicating. So soft, yet ripe fruit, on the palate. Cherry swisher sweets, baked mixed berry figs, and still tart red and black fruit. Can’t believe how tart and ripe the fruit is even at 13yrs. Outstanding. — 7 years ago
Great torre in the making. Sweet black and red cherry, strawberry and dusty like tannins. Nice structure. This beauty has 10-15 years ahead of it even with some air and food it already works great — 8 years ago
Steak, Frites & Claret. I am in heaven this New Year’s Eve. While 03 was a very warm & ripe vintage; which will drink well younger, this still needs 5-8 years. The nose still shows a fair amount of earth & some funk even after an hour & half in the the decanter. Sour dark cherries, ripe blackberries, black plum, roasted strawberries, raspberries haunt the background, light vanilla & cinnamon, light, soft, spice, black cherry cola/licorice, light volcanic minerals, dry stones, rich turned earth, black tea, anise, dark fresh florals with a hint of violets. The body is medium, lush and beautiful. Tannins have baby teeth. Sour & sweet dark cherries, ripe blackberries, black plum, roasted strawberries, blueberries, raspberries haunt the background, light vanilla & cinnamon, light, soft, spice, black cherry cola/licorice, light volcanic minerals, dry stones, rich turned dark earth, dry crushed rock, hints of graphite, cigar tobacco, used leather, black tea, anise, dark fresh florals with a hint of violets. The acidity is round and near perfect. The length, structure, tension and balance are all in good company. The finish is long & beautiful with nice balance, but just a shade more earthiness on the long set. Here a little trivia for your next game of “Wine Trivial Pursuit.” What was the first wine brought into space? In 1985, the 75 Lynch Bages was brought into space by a Frenchmen. Of course, right? I wonder if that drove up the bottle price? I think Lynch Bages is still currently closed for visits as it’s under renovation. They are making serious improvements to their facilities. Should you ever visit, make your appointment either side of lunch and eat at their Bistro...Cafe Lavinal. It’s very good, close and owned by Lynch Bages. Library vintages of Lynch Bages are available by the glass. It’s a very short walk from the Chateau. They also have great accommodations in walking distance, the Cordeillan Bages. The hotel is very nice and has a two star Michelin Restaurant. One of our favorite meals ever! Wish you all peace, success and many nice bottles in 2018!!! Happy New Year! 🎊🎈🎆 🍾🥂 🎉 — 8 years ago
