Hint of cinnamon....and future heartburn — 7 years ago
I think it's apt for me to compare this to Daniel's 14' Wolfer Goldgrube Kabi I had a few days ago: It's lighter; ethereal. Less ripe; on the grapefruit spectrum. Doesn't really feature that power with restraint element I saw in Daniel's Kabi; perhaps a function of vintage. As racy and precise. Similarly mineral, although Julian's wine leans on the fruitier side; bottle age difference perhaps. Sulphur applied with more constraint in Julian's wine. Spicier; feature I notice in some of Julian's cuvees.
Overall, a stunning Kabi. Just the way I like it! Without a doubt, one that will improve with age. — 7 years ago
Fruity. Tastes of blackberry and plum — 9 years ago
Barrel-aged Double Black IPA. - aged 8.5 months in Jack Daniel's Whiskey Barrels. — 10 years ago
Drank at home with Daniel's parents. Really nice and floral, light and easy to drink — 6 years ago
Not to be harsh, but this was the underperformer of the blind tasting. As said in my previous notes, I reckon I would have gravitated towards this wine if it wasn't done blind. It wasn't a bad wine - I just expected a little bit more.
Nose was very closed. Just smoky and wild. Could have guessed this correctly if producer was an option I felt, since it had the deepest cut of the lot (pretty typical of Daniel's wines). To me the palate was a little less ripe - mix of citrus and stonefruits, sappy, laser precision. Good driven finish, but felt a little less complex than the rest at the moment. I liked this wine for its energy (the most of the lot), but it could have given more. Overall, the wines in this bracket were all showing very well - all wines I would buy for my cellar if I had more space. — 6 years ago

A new wine from France. Bold and delicious. Dan says it reminds him of Daniel's best wines. — 8 years ago
Wow! Amazing whiskey! Super smooth! — 10 years ago
If you know this, you probably know the best place to taste Riesling in the Mosel. Ingrid's got a knack for spotting the local rising stars, so she often engages them to make wines for the store. Daniel's Krover Steffensberg feinherb's all finesse! Sourced from younger vines, minerally, tight. — 7 years ago
Soft for a Rye and for a JD product. No age statement and charcoal filtered of course. — 8 years ago
I'm not a whiskey drinker, but when I do this is always my choice. The strength of whiskey is nicely balanced with honey, which you can definitely taste here! Perfect neat, or with ice or as a hot whiskey for cold weather. — 9 years ago
Appalachian mountain brewing daniel's double IPA. Fantastic dipa. Extremely well balanced with a ton of citrus hops and think mouthfeel, but great flavor. — 9 years ago
Airplane glue and spice on the nose. A bit warm, with spicy flavors and dates, caramel and brown sugar all showing on the palate. — 10 years ago

Drank at lunchtime Daniel's birthday. Crisp, fresh and dry. Easy to drink. Would benefit from a bit more floral notes — 6 years ago
