Okay my friends. I have finally released my own wine! This rating is for Dr Todd Vineyards cabernet sauvignon from Herron Family Wines. I had to put Papillon in the pic to get this spot. Ive been working on this since 2014!!!!! It is finally ready. Of coarse it is opaque in color. The legs are thick and slow to fall. The bouquet is my favorite blackberry pie fresh out of the oven with a hint of black licorice. The initial palate is exploding with dark fruit: blackberry, black current, dark cherries. The mid palate is exactly what I hoped for, chocolate and spice with a splash of oak! The finish is very long with minimal tannins and moderate dryness. I am very proud if this wine. I want to thank my growers in NAPA. I blended two vines of 100% cabernet , one from Oakville and one from the Silverado trail area near lake Hennessey. We aged it three years in American Oak. I am so proud of my team!!!!! Thank you my Herron Family Wine Crew! This is an awesome cabernet sauvignon. Next is a pinot noir... stay tuned... — 6 years ago
Boys, drink this tomorrow AM and you'll be alright! Wish I could be there! @Martin G Rivard @Ron R @Shawn R @Bill Bender and the rest of the WNH crew arriving shortly! — 8 years ago
The Emirates flight crew altered me that @Claire Owen and I consumed a total of 4 bottles on the flight...worth it, I think? Needed something to pair with the caviar and canapés. #EmiratesSuites #a380 #honeymoon — 8 years ago
Blinded and my WOTN. You know when a wine's open for business, it's simply unbeatable. That being said, even the KR crew was surprised how well this showed. I mean it technically sits near the bottom of their wine range, but we absolutely annihilated the bottle. This line from a CT user pretty much sums up the wine - "Quite intense, but gives the refreshing feeling of mountain spring water". In fact, I thought it was a Spatlese trocken.
Nose of sea spray, grapefruit, pear, anise, fresh green herbs, chamomile and that typical KR dirt. The palate's just so saline, juicy, and spicy. Like biting into the juiciest white nectarine by the ocean. Finishes tart, mineral, and long. Pure finesse! — 6 years ago
Dinner Cindy Roy Jane crew 5/9/19 at Andiamo. Terrific Volnay. Earth and minerals and red fruit with balanced and complex palate and long finish. Good structure and weight yet lively on feet. Roys fav. — 6 years ago
Enjoyed this tasty and teenaged Anakota Cab at Amis in Philadelphia with a lively view of the kitchen and delicious steak. Rich and peppery with a bite. Lots of fun chatting with the kitchen crew and the rest of the team at Amis while witnessing some glorious dessert prep (pictured: melted chocolate in ramekins)... Thank you @Cara Zimmerman for the great recommendation! — 7 years ago
Surpassed extremely high expectations from our crew. My first time and hopefully there will be more. Amazing. — 8 years ago
Phenomenal way to start off our Napa trip! This is a rock star in the making and I can't say enough good things about Bruce and the wonderful job he and the crew are doing at VHR. First class operation and this was certainly one of the best wines of the trip. — 8 years ago

Delicious! Apple comes through immediately. Nice acidity on the finish. Definitely popular with my dinner crew! — 6 years ago
Stone fruit and white peach on the attack. The acid works as the cleanup crew. Almost too much thunder, then it let's you off. Full pleasure with happy climax. — 7 years ago
Teeter-Totter, Fait-Main and Marston en fuego at Bazaar Meat at SLS Las Vegas. Points don't do it justice, so we'll stick with Eighteen thumbs up and the advice that these pair well with David Guetta. Pretty sure thats equivalent to a RP 107. And as we hope, the wine was only overshadowed by the epic company of @Daniel Taub and crew. Epic! — 8 years ago
Amazing efforts from the crew in OR- perfect jammy notes, cherry of course, and medium all the way through, I need to figure out how to ship this legally to my Puritan state. — 8 years ago
Great night blind tasting with the crew for the last night of the Montelena interns all together! BIG! Smokey with smooth but lively tannin. Earthy/green after taste. Fun wine! — 9 years ago
Delightful bouquet. Strawberries? Very round and buttery. Wish I was eating Dungeness crab right now. — 9 years ago

En magnum. A stand out from today’s belated Vintage 2020 long lunch at Herringbone with the crew. Epic wine. — 5 years ago
