Huge wine, firing on all cylinders, this beast needs space, so wide stemware are recommended. A plethora of dark fruits, leather and spice are complemented by rich, oaky additions and cleverly framed by bold tannins and juicy acidity. For my personal taste, this is too big, and the whiff of alcohol of the finish is obvious, to me anyway. But quality wise, it's impressive.

As balanced a wine that I have ever had. Brilliant.

My wife and I have no qualms saying what might, for some, be a guilty admission. We just love Bevan’s style. We also enjoy the other end of the spectrum, but this is just too delicious and indulgent not to have an out of body experience. It is an elephant ballerina. Maximum extraction with purity of fruit from nose to tail. This is what every Shiraz wishes it could be. Only regret? I only bought one.

Pretty much a perfect wine. Loved every second of the experience.

I am not sure if I have ever given a 10, but this deserves one! Exactly what I want a Syrah to be! Beautiful in the glass straight out of the bottle. Hints of cedar mellow as it opens.
