It’s a very rich style chardonnay, but it’s unapologetically delicious. Professional scores have it as high as 97 and the purity of fruit along with the deft use of french oak and balanced acidity are certainly deserving. It strikes a nice balance even with everything amped up and an alcohol level of 14.6%. Only 326 cases made, if you see a bottle in the wild drink it! — 7 years ago

Full bodied, earthy pinot. Tart and crisp with and round and buttery finish. Fantastic. — 8 years ago

Out of 3 Liter. A favorite vineyard from HC for me. While the 07 I am partial to, I feel this was showing well tonight and was ready Straight away. Big red juicy fruit, silky mid palate. 777 clone showing its flashy side. Long and lingering, with firm tannins to finish. The only downer is it shows a little minty on the gums... Yum — 11 years ago

Hartford consistently has some of the absolute best Pinots. Consistent. Excellent on their own. With food - salmon, cheeses, even with something sweet. One of our favorite wineries and one of their great Pinots. Will hold for at least a few more years but great to drink now. — 7 years ago
An amazing combination of decaying earthiness meets candied berry sweetness. Unique and extremely well executed wine. — 10 years ago
Cuvée de la Pompadour is 58% Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay, named for Madame de la Pompadour, Louis XV's great paramour, and she introduced sparkling wine to the court at Versailles, famous for having said, "Champagne is the only wine that a woman can drink and remain beautiful." Salmon color with aromas of red fruits and spices. On the palate fresh strawberry and raspberry flavors with cinnamon spice and toasty oak. Well balanced with acidity the wine finishes with citrus and honey notes on a long ending. — 10 years ago

— 12 years ago
