Surprising. — 8 years ago
Dry, medium to full bodied, curry and dark fruit and slightly, great balance — 9 years ago
Spicy tobacco nose. Darkness. Bold dark fruit. Tension structure balance. Tasted with Christophe Tassan, Mark Herold, Robert Kamen and @Philip Coturri #moonmountaindistrict — 9 years ago
Awesome, Bob Kamen and Phil Coturri brought this in and shared, why cant we make wines like this here? Mushroom and forest floor on the nose, subtle nuances of fruit and earth on the palate, gorgeous... — 9 years ago
Very interesting. — 10 years ago
Imagine if Tony Coturri made a fino... Give it hours in a decanter and pair with rich seafood — 7 years ago
This was so thin and coarse on release that I recall leaving most of a 2 oz taste in the glass. 3 years later and it's gained weight, complexity, completely integrated and plummy fruit that's un-Napa in its mouthfeel but the dark chocolate and cassis burst out on the nose. I guess great winemakers are really tested in years like this, Coturri, Kamen & Co really came through here. — 8 years ago
Crisp, tart and funky, light years from a traditional cider. — 9 years ago
Super pale garnet. Tobacco, ash, very dried fruit, gorgeous red fruit, even fresh, earthy mineral, superb. — 9 years ago
I don't care what @Sam Coturri says, this was absolutely beautiful Syrah. I would drink this again and again if i could get my hands on it. It was pure, heavy, lip smacking grape juice. Exactly what i love in a Syrah. For all the Cabs in fancy dresses, this one wears the overalls and boots. #sixteen600 #notforsale #blessed — 7 years ago
Big and juicy with a velvet finish. Really opens up after an hour. Loved it. @Sam Coturri — 8 years ago
Tight & gassy start, tho after a quick & vigorous decanting she opened right up as a juicy, brightly textured stunner. Potently joyous. $22 — 8 years ago
Stunning. Still full of ripe fruit. No more tannins. Second day it seemed to turn to port. Unusual for it to have 16+ pct alcohol. — 8 years ago
This is how you get @Philip Coturri to go out to a sushi dinner...#sushiwine #nocorkage #moonmountaindistrict — 9 years ago
1987: super mature nose. Meaty, leathery, red and dried fruit. Good, nature, drinking nicely. — 9 years ago
Delicious. Brought this home from Underbelly. — 10 years ago

Wow! The sour beer of wine! Bubblegum suspended over growing spearmint with flavored eraser. If cork shoes stomped dank grapes, and then ran through wildflowers! Balsamic droplets announce the advent of pickled peach, essence of pear, dried bing cherry, but so much more! Bitter dried flowers, and extreme lingering aromatic herbs and spices innumerable! #coturri #winecraft #sourbeer
