R. López de Heredia

Viña Tondonia Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2008

A pretty color of ruby, with a wide brick/ reddish rim.

Full bodied and elegant.

Dry on the palate with medium acidity.

Showing red currants, plums, cherries, wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs and black pepper.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 15 year old Rioja Reserva is drinking very nicely now. Showing nice complexity at this point.

Still young and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. A very tasty aged Rioja, and a good food wine.

Robert Parker 95 points.

I Had this vintage a year ago, and it feels pretty much the same.

A blend of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, 5% Mazuelo and 5% Graciano. Aged in used American oak barrels for 6 years.

13% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$55.

This Napa Cab was on point! 2015 vintage drinking very well. Strong bouquet of blackberry and cherry giving way to a tobacco finish. Big fan on this baby. If you like Napa Cabs, this will make you happy. — 4 years ago

If you need a house Pinot Noir under $20, it doesn't get much better than this. Tastes like a $30-$40 bottle from any great California appellation. — 10 months ago

Justin Vineyards & Winery

Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

This is turning out to be a great vintage for Justin. Let it open up a little bit and it’s extraordinary for the price point. Coming out of a half bottle, because the winery hasn’t released the 750’s yet. Shows wonderful complex fruit with ample tannic structure. Not much acidity going on, but will be a great vintage to drink now. Haven’t seen as good as a vintage as the 2017, since the 2013 vintage. — 5 years ago

Fulldraw Vineyard

Hard Point Paso Robles Grenache

Interesting comparison between the Fulldraw and Tynan wine. Both were opened about 2hrs. The flavor profile is somewhat similar between the two, showing chocolate and dark blue fruit for the Tynan and red fruit for the Fulldraw. Great spice and pepper with each. The main difference is with the tannins and finish. The tannins on the Tynan are fairly noticeable (in addition to some heat) while the Hard Point’s are already integrated. The finish on the Hard Point is incredibly long and luxurious. @Connor McMahon exceptional wine — 6 years ago
