Required almost 2 hours of decanting. It was quite the experience because this Barolo continued to evolve and provide new flavours throughout the night. Plums, figs, berries, strawberries, raspberries, followed by vanilla, oak, humidor notes, earth, mild herbaceousness, truffles. Tannins are big, chewy but soft and persist for a long time. It’s a complex wine that provides gifts of new flavours that are very well integrated. — 5 years ago

Oh my! Expected some oxidation, but this was showing no signs even after an hour. Dark and rich with incredible depth and complexity. Powerful and glorious nose. Dark fruit continued thru a very long finish. A great bottle. — 7 years ago

sweetly aromatic and feminine. Damp roses, blood orange, wet concrete, strawberry rhubarb pie in graham cracker crust. Supple tannins, persistent acidity. Incredible lifted floral perfume and elegance.
