Part of a night of Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello and Ghemme (Sangiovese and Nebbiolo). Highlight of the night. Nice structure. Good brick red color but still somewhat translucent. Dark fruits, with some red cherry as well. Long finish. Served with southern fried quail, collard greens, lime beans with bacon, and gravy. — 6 years ago

I'm not usually a big fan of Pinots, but this one was very good - a little fuller and more flavorful than some, with a nice spice. Had it with catfish over a spicy rice/ginger/collard green mixture, with a Meyer lemon glaze. — 9 years ago

Dark and inky out of the bottle. A little funk on the nose, so it might need more air, but it reminds me of the smell of all the great Napa caves we have visited! I don't drink, own, or ever see that many petit verdots but this one isn't bad. Nice cherry fruit, with a nice subtleness on the palate, and just a hint of spice on the finish. Quite lovely and a nice change from white wine Sunday's....moving it up 2pts as the additional air did wonders and it paired beautifully with lemon, pepper pork tenderloin, white rice, and collard greens with garlic! — 8 years ago
