2005 vintage under screwcap. I little pssst when opened lol. Really great example right out of the gate. Lots of intense black fruit, game-y, herb-y aromas. The color was remarkably deep garnet and not too advanced. Slight tawnyness happening on the rim a bit. Palate was intense but balanced. Lots of typical CdP elements throughout. Great acidity. What a fantastic bottle! This is California’s best Rhône wine and it’s not even close — a month ago
