This vintage is absolutely singing right now! Edges are rounded off, the fruit is generous but not cloying, the mineral, animal, meaty characteristics of the grape are there but not overpowering. Tannins are dissolved into silk and it’s got a floating weightlessness on the palate. Goes down too easy. In a beautiful place right now - get some if you can!

Blueberry juice of a nose.

Medium to heavier bodied, Bramble fruit, pom seed, mint, saline, and small tannins with orange rind acidity.
Simple, easy, enjoyable.

Initially still closed and we wrote it off as "just ok". However, the next day it was giving more with bright blue fruits and bramble.

Deep purple color, almost black; rich, dark aroma that intensified as wine warmed; taste is woody and briny, black olives; right up my alley. Reminds me of Cigare Volant. I like this a lot.

Fantastic example of cool climate syrah. Great weight for 12.6% alcohol.

Once upon a time, the Bristol in Chicago had scotch olives on the menu - olives wrapped in pancetta, lightly breaded and deep fried. When you bit into one, it was a molten explosion of olive, meat, smoke and briny juiciness. Dunno what made me think of that...

Young yet, of course. Just checking in before letting them rest for a couple years. Typical, if perhaps a little less concentration than the last few vintages.
