In the mouth it is both crunchy and of a beautiful intensity, which will express all the better as the bottle will have been aerated for at least a good hour. Lafond Chateauneuf du Pape Roc-Epine is a deep red fruited, elegant wine. Predominantly Grenache (80%), Syrah (10%), Mourvèdre (10%).

Light red and clear and clean. Nose has some muted floral and herbaceous notes but not much else. Light bodied , medium + acidity. Pretty much non distinct. This bottle was left over from Turkey dinner. Should have drank it then, perhaps.
