Clos de l'Ermitage Saint Claude Vieilles Vignes Saint-Véran Chardonnay 2016

Another star in Rosenthal book but I’m a bit puzzled by the muted enthusiasm on Delectable. Sure, not the last word on complexity but what glory in classic chard & Macon notes. Rich & minerally mouthfeel, balanced. Yeah, for less than 15$ local. So what’s the problem? — 7 years ago

Racines Vin de pays du Loir-et-Cher Red Blend 2020

Interesting wine, 13 grapes, natural without being annoying. Opens up nicely. Not overly heavy, nice balance. Fresh with good acid. Good suggestion from the fine folks at Joe Beef in Montreal, and a good pairing with the very rich food here. — 8 months ago

Les Chasseignes Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Delectable Wine
9.1

The 2020 Sancerre Les Chasseignes is a ripe and round expression with sweet pineapple fruit flavors. The limestone proportion of the clay-limestone vineyard brings tension and texture that lightly holds the mouth, providing a satisfying finish. It's a gently refreshing acidity, leaving a gently fresh rather than zesty conclusion. For drinking now to the medium term. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, August 2022)

Domaine Pignard Beaujolais Gamay 2016

Light red and clear and clean. Nose has some muted floral and herbaceous notes but not much else. Light bodied , medium + acidity. Pretty much non distinct. This bottle was left over from Turkey dinner. Should have drank it then, perhaps.
