Very nice, relaxing drinking wine. No food required! — 7 years ago
Piggybacking on @Anthony Lombardi ‘s music/wine combinations, this Pfalz Riesling is gorgeous, a perfect accompaniment to ghosht kari, along with Sade’s masterpiece song suite Love Deluxe. White peach, bracing acidity, petrol, salinity, extraordinarily bright golden hue...amazing QPR. — 7 years ago
Much too young but ... when paired with red meat it unveils its potential : superb nose of sour cherry, blood, a bit of térébenthine too. Some spices. A profound, intense nose that makes us think and reflect on the wine. The palate is much too young but the sour cherry little song plays again among subtle tannins and along a long acid backbone that wants to go the extra mile. Red berries play a little part in this piece and raspberry comes at last. Very nice work. Would love to come to it again in 5-7 years. Fun fact : we are currently spending Christmas time with the in laws in Warsaw, Poland. This winemaker is of polish descent. His great grandfather came to France in the early years of the 20th century to make wine in burgundy. It's quite consistent with our life story that we open this wine during our Christmas diner! — 8 years ago

When I read that this was a blend and had Malbec added I was extremely excited. Didn’t disappoint, very smooth. You can taste the love that goes into this. — 6 years ago
Color of inky bubbly purple, with some ruby note. Nose of some oak, fresh grapes, spice, a bit cherry, quite average. Taste of raisin, fermented cabbage, oak, grape skins, a bit zest, and almost nonexistent tannins. Aftertaste of some more grape skins, a bit cocoa, and a bit earthy, definitely not a bold powerful Syrah. — 7 years ago
Mmm blue... and 2012. Rainy song one — 8 years ago
A tad sweet but very enjoyable! Portland with Jesse and Kurt. — 8 years ago
Essentially the perfect wine for my palette. Beautiful feminine floral nose, pretty, ethereal cherries and bright red raspberries, along with anise and tobacco. Weightless mouthfeel with a rich consistency; like having your tongue wrapped in liquid velvet. However those earthy Sangiovese tannins show up just in time to add a remarkable masculine balance. This wine sang a song about food. Gosh I wish I had another.... — 8 years ago
Drinking great. Picked up at auction for a song. Pepper rounding tannins. Blue fruits. — 5 years ago
Peachy nose and quite fruity nose opening up to apricot and lemon notes. More lemon and peach than others, which usually have pineapple or pear. Delish! — 6 years ago
Just a great Riesling — 7 years ago
Paired this delicious wine, from our last trip to Sonoma County 2016, with spinach and ricotta ravolis. We've been letting it settle from it's move from NJ to IL and decided St Patrick's day Eve seemed like as good of an excuse as any to break it open. Worth the wait. Label say...in the winter, when you draw the wine, let there be in your heat a song for each cup... Well singing it's praises. Full-bodied and we'll rounded finish. Rich and lively, like a good 80’s song. Always happy with the wines from Presqu’ile. Cherries on cherries on cherries. I don’t know why, but this bottling always makes me think of November. — 8 years ago
Creamy and vibrant with notes of caramel, saltwater taffy, apple and melon — 8 years ago
She's temperamental. And expressive. It ain't no a Billy Joel Song; it's a Soings en Sologne, sung by the son of a son of a viticulture (well maybe only the cousin). Very fucking cool wine. Unique for this region. Kind of Sebastian Riffault-like in his rule breaking to Sancerre, but perhaps more... tame. Oxidative for this vintage, maybe that's consistent? Tastes like there's some skin contact on the romorantin, a roller coaster of acidity and sapidity across the tongue, and Menu Pineau, I can find it if I look. If you don't like oxidative wine, you probably won't appreciate this. But I judge a wine whether it's empty or not, and this one didn't stand a chance. Tastes better when it's warmed up and breathed for an hour. vintage is technically 2012 -not on label. Wife (New Zealander) Heidi Kuka makes the eye-catchingly, ornate almost Maori-like tribal tattoos for the labels. Julien Courtois is able to knock it out of the park on occasion, but mostly, he makes very good, expressive and interesting, but most importantly drinkable wine from the western Loire. — 9 years ago

Some of my most favorite wines in the world. I discovered this bottle and a few others of its ilk recently lurking in the inventory of a local wine shop being sold for a song. I bought them all and opened the first one today. A bright Halloween orange in color this wine smells of orange peel, dark honey and exotic flowers. In the mouth, lightly sweet notes of orange blossom syrup, citrus peel, wet pavement and autumn leaves make for a gorgeous silky concoction. The acidity is filigreed and softening, but still very much a part of the wine. Exotic and alluring. A one-of-a-kind field blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Beurot, Muscat, and Pinot Noir. — 5 years ago
