Light, crisp, refreshing table wine from the Bordeaux region. Strong citrus, specifically grapefruit, flavor with a hint of vanilla. Not too strong of minerality. Goes well with baked chicken or turkey and shellfish. Definitely worth checking out. — 8 years ago
1990: Corked, unfortunately. My mom had the best line, "It sure tastes better than it smells!" I recall what it was like on release, hard candy sweetness with a surprisingly light framework, particularly compared to both the '88 & '89 on release, and the crazy depth of the'90 Ch. Filholt Creme de tete, which was massively concentrated. This bottle still had oomph, yet wasn't all there. — 10 years ago

Sweet nose...very smooth for a brut...there is hint of a delicious nutty flavor.. — 13 years ago
Founded in 1972 by Fred Furth, the CH Estate encompasses 280 acres of vineyards, Recently purchased by Bill Foley, proprietor of Foley Family Wines, continuing Fred Furth's traditions. Had the '13 a year ago and want to see how developing. Aromas of stone fruits and nutty spice. Flavors of ripe apple, peach and pear with underlying creamy honey tones wrapped around notes of toasty oak. Well balanced finishing with citrus zest, long and rich finish, better a year later. A favorite. — 8 years ago

Ch. Talbot 2005. Elegant, classy, ripe fruit and good oak, round palate, perfect to drink "by the glass" — 12 years ago
Fruity and complex. They serve it chilled, how weird — 8 years ago
1st Ch Musar. Reminded me of a hybrid of Rhône valley and Piedmont. So much spiced/savory laden aromas behind a density that balanced by its contrasting weightlessness. Reminds me of the soulfulness of Heredia. Incredibly charming and intriguing — 8 years ago
Exotic, overt, hedonistic. Everything about this pleasurable and fun. Nose is ripe, vibrant with honey, pastry cream, tangerine, pineapple, baked pear, baking spice, brown sugar, dough. Palate is unctuous, creamy yet zippy with balanced minerality. 75% PN 30% CH 10/2015 disgorgement — 9 years ago
1982 ch. Calvin Segur St Estephe Bordeaux.. Black center brownish to orange tone moving outward.. Nose very savory paprika dominate 1982 and acid and tannin still very much present after about 15 min cassis and chocolate appeared along with leather and raisins a wow experience!!! #1982 #oldbordeaux — 10 years ago
Firm structure, vineous, chalk, mineral, persistent fine bubbles. A bit of tart green apple on the mid palate. 60%PN/40%Ch — 10 years ago
Red fruits, plums and violets. Good length, awesome stuff. Drinks like a Blanc de Noirs. 60% PN, 25% CH, 15% PN — 11 years ago

This was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of opulence for me. Dense and rich with a beautiful supporting acidity, fine tannins, and an impressive finish (even with my sinusitis working up). Cassis, cream, tobacco leaf, spice, somewhat smoky in the palate, and a touch of pyrazine to finish. Drinking well now, but will definitely see improvement with time.
Notes: 51% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Petit Verdot. 2012 had low yields for Ch Palmer. — 8 years ago
