Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend

Super pretty herbal nose! Lush balanced palate.

Currants, plum, and dusty cellar on the nose. Cherry core, with some integrated Brett. Refined tannins say drink now or you'll be disappointed.

Still hanging on! Much better than I thought it would be.

Touch of Brett blowing off. Not the boldest Bdx but very pretty.

Layers of red fruit and dried herbs and fresh tomato leaves followed by a silky finish with notes of sandalwood and cedar.

Old school Bordeaux with 12% ABV (if that). Still has surprising acidity/brightness and plenty of life left. Hits you with red cherry, black currant, black plum, mint, herbal, mushroom, earth, forest floor, tobacco, cedar, chocolate. Crazy long finish

Sadly, the cork had failed on this double magnum and left only a brown memory.

Christmas dinner at home. 1975 vintage.

This was really a treat. Wonderfully smooth and soft tannins. Tobacco and herbal / medicinal notes (in a good way). Loved.

Softening. Medium in body. Fruit structure holding up but falls off at the finish. Still pretty cool.
