Château Mayne Vallet

Château Franc Mayne

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2011

Yum! Bought from Bruno onsite. Kyle thinks it’s best with food, I could go with or without. Tannins are Happening. Brick, red fruit, heft. A delight. — 12 days ago

Chateau La Croix Du Mayne

Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Was a great easy drinking wine with ratatouille- which was heavy with sautéed beets. Wish I would have bought more of this. — 6 years ago

Château Tour du Mayne

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2023

2022 vintage. Medium-bodied, already some evolution to the colour. A little smokiness on the nose. This is ready to drink already, with juicy red fruit and soft tannin. Nice smokey length. Another terrific Bordeaux value. — 2 months ago

Estate Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Really superb Napa Cab. Purchased from Odette Tasting room. Classic Napa Vallet. Oak, vanilla, cocoa on the nose. Followed by dusty earth and sage. Lots of dark fruit, honeyed fig, chocolate , hazelnut Nutella. This is a well structured wine at 15.6% — 4 years ago

Vallet Frères

Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2015

No idea why this has low scores it’s absolutely gorgeous and what you imagine burgundy should be but rarely is. Pretty good value at £40 — 4 years ago

Château du Cléray

Vallet Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Melon de Bourgogne 2014

Vintage 2014 / by Jove, what a quality jump if Muscadet has stayed some years in bottle / minerals, citrus and hay / yield restricted, harvesting at maximum of maturity, aged 24 months on lees / granite shale and sand soils / medium weight and body, quite some power actually which makes it a fine dinner wine / good aftertaste / paired with cabillaud and shi take / archetypical Muscadet — 6 years ago
