Oaky and blackberry taste. I don't drink a lot of French wine, and I thought I try some. This one was pretty good for the price. — 4 years ago
A white burgundy. I taste stone fruit. Peach. Vanilla in the finish. Dry and smooth. I love this. — 5 years ago
Lovely wine that’s added complexity with age. Pear/apricot on nose and lemon curd and nutmeg flavors. Dark straw color, viscous with moderate acidity. — 5 years ago
The aroma is very average, but the mineral volume elevates it to an excellent wine. Unlike most Aligote it feels like it comes from a serious terroir. The fruit purity trails those of Fichet, Arnaud Ente and Chevillon. — 6 years ago
I love this wine.
Fresh fruits on the nose.
Smooth and mild tannin.

2019 vintage. After the excellent Cabernet Sauvignon dominated 2018, this 2019 is predominantly Merlot (59%), with 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Less colour compared to fellow Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel Château Lestage (Listrac) tasted alongside, indicating more gentle extractions. Delightfully floral nose with bright red fruit and very discrete oak. Medium-bodied, fresh and energetic, with a serious tannic backbone, but smooth and elegant with very good mineral length. The Lorenzetti family is doing a great job here, and they just bought neighbouring Grand Cru Classé Lafon-Rochet, an exciting extension of their portfolio that already includes Pédesclaux (Pauillac) and co-owned Issan (Margaux). Terrific value too. — 4 years ago
2016 vintage. Owned by the Chanfreau family (also Lestage and Fonréaud in Listrac). A blend of Merlot (65%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (35%). Still a bit on the oaky side, but the wine handles it well. The red fruit is juicy and fresh, the tannins ripe and the wine has elegance. Wait a few years until it fully absorbs the oak or decant if you drink it now. — 5 years ago
I loved it! Deceptively simple, so comforting and acidic just enough to make it delicious. If Pinot is your game, than this is wine for you. You’ll love it from the first strawberry aroma. — 7 years ago
An exercise in balance. Proper oak seasoning like a pinch of salt - does its job, enhances, doesn't get in the way. Employed in typical Burgundian policy. Elegant subtle apricot peach, starfruit and vanilla. The mouth has good texture and flavors of peachy vanilla wafer, almond skin bitter decent. — 3 years ago
2019 vintage. Another great value from this Listrac estate. Dark red. Black fruit, less oaky compared to the 2018. Good concentration, a more extracted style compared to fellow Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Lilian Ladouys 2019 (Saint-Estephe) tasted alongside, but excellent value at 11(!) euros. — 4 years ago
Medium+ Ruby, youthful pronounced aromas of fragrant red berry fruits, pepper, smoky and earthy notes. On the palate vibrant flavors of black raspberry, strawberry and cherry with notes of forest floor. Medium+ acidity with soft rustic tannins on long finish ending with cedar and earthy character. Very nice now will improve in the cellar! — 4 years ago
2017.... lovely!!! — 5 years ago
Lovely intense medium cherry lipstick nose. Palate is crunchy cherries. Delicious. Perfect balance. Amazing freshness. Stay tuned ... this will change as it opens.
As it opens the nose is dense perfume. Really concentrated. Almost like a gas transforming into a liquid in your nostrils.
Palate is amazing. Terrific texture. Crazy internal aromatics. Palate coating beyond belief.
90 minutes in this is spectacularly delicious.
This vaporizes chevillon so bad it’s not funny. Cant believe this is a village wine. Wow.
Tanins are still a bit chunky. My guess is that they need another 2-3 years to smooth out.
