Brown sugar , vanilla on the nose, light acidity, balanced tannin. Good with dark meat , great value for the quality. Like it! — 5 months ago

Was amazing the first day we opened it. Unfortunately waited a couple days before finishing. — 6 years ago
Needs 2 hours. Lovely balance and softness. Not at the Lalande level but really nice. Classic in style. Moderate finish. — 8 years ago
Opened quickly. Smooth and slighly fruity. Had a second bottle in Paris. — 9 years ago
Merlot dominated LdP offering creamy lush fruits, good freshness and tertiary notes shining through now. Wine gained complexity and length over the past 2 years. — 6 months ago

Trying this on the advice of a friend. I had the 2009 vintage and it was dry, not complex, generally smooth and didn't hang on the palate for long. I tasted subtle hints of cherry and a bit of smokiness. It paired well with the beef stew and almond roasted fresh green beans. — 8 years ago

High tannin. Lots of red fruit. Long finish — 4 months ago
Well, what an overachiever this wine is! Mayne Lalande, a little known chateau in Listrac-Médoc, and a bottle which I picked up for a humble price at auction around a year ago. It’s fresh, sappy, delicious and positively refreshing at 12% abv. I wish I had more of this. A joyous rendition of old left-bank Bordeaux. — 6 months ago

Nice but not amazing. For $40 would probably skip. Decanted 5 hours. Air was necessary - can believe this would be better in a few years but meh. Tannins are quite balanced, surprisingly so. Overall the nose is a bit muted but air helped. Nice dark fruit. Could use a smidge more acid. Nice pairing with a delicious wagyu tomahawk. — 3 months ago
