Opened just prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. As far as I know, this was the first commercially released vintage of La Fleur de Boüard but others may be able to confirm or deny that. The 2000 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe dark fruits: back plums, cassis, pipe tobacco, Flintstones vitamins, purple flowers, dried green herbs organic earth and fine baking spices. “Yabba dabba doo!” On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Gosh, this is in a really lovely place right now; very well balanced! Thank Andy! Drink now through 2040. — 2 months ago
needs ten more years. still tight - going to be amazing with the blackberry mellowing — 3 months ago
Opening with an interesting and unique orange zest character, then moving to tilled soil. Overall a fresh and mildly spiced nose. On the palate it shows the character but it’s quite harsh to undesired at the moment. — 3 months ago

Vintage 2014 | This Pessac Leognan delivers. Ten years old the colour is brownish. In smell lovely complexity: spices, liquorice, flint, warmth. Impressions of plums and tobacco. Surprising velvety taste, clearly a point! | paired with Cantonese beef and mango. — 10 months ago

Paying more attention to vintage w Bdx these days, 2012 Graves showing very well right now with enough punch to go longer. — 2 months ago
Merlot dominant in a left bank. Rare but definitely an experience. Plush wine with good tannins and a great evolving flavor. Black currants, touches of plums, graphite and a wine that evolves throughout the experience. An age worthy wine. — 2 months ago
First time tasted the oak was not so interfering. It may improve notably with time — 3 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2016 pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black and red fruits: cassis, blackberries, raspberries, red plum, tobacco, a touch of bell pepper, earth, old wood, and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A classic expression of Bordeaux during a period where the lines between New and Old World have been blurred. This is tasty and showing well in its early drinking window. Drink now through 2036+. — 5 months ago

Good old fashioned honey water. — 9 years ago
Dark cherries and cloves prevail on the nose, then you start to dig in into a very layered nose. Complex and broad spectrum.
On the mouth it is supple and creamy, mid palate is beautiful and rich. The closing is somewhat lifting and refreshing with rose and strawberry flavors overcoming the pleasant bitterness.
An excellent wine for the vintage.
It won’t be immediate. Bit it’ll be a nice surprise in the years to come.

Minerality, mushrooms, a little fruit. Really dry, almost sherry like. — 6 months ago
Quite bright medium ruby , ruby pink rim . Quite elegant and reserved , some red cherry, violet , summer fruits , scorched earth , touch of spice . On the palate quite elegant also , summer fruits, blackberry , blackcurrant , red plum . Good balanced acidity , herbal touches on the medium length , saline tinged finish . Quite polished but still grippy tannins . This is showing well , especially with food , but has a relatively long future , from now and over the next 5-10 years. A very successful second wine . — 7 months ago
Dark ruby, big mocha, chocolate, and raspberry on the nose. Heavy on the pallet with great gripping tannins. I love this wine. — 8 years ago
