Declassified Puligny-Montrachet fruit from vineyards just east of 'Derrière la Velle' & 'Les Reuchaux', this is the far east edge of the village.
The nose has lemon squeezed over flint & slate and light white flowers.
The palate has medium acid, under-ripe tropical fruits and light steely mineral notes.
Albeit coming from a strong vintage, this is a little closed up right now, perhaps a few more years rest is due. — 7 years ago

Nice acidity and green apple — 7 years ago
Still love this wine. Shout out @Martin Davies for gifting me a 2002 monthelie a few years back that made me aware of the region — 9 years ago
Classic balanced Meursault. — 5 years ago
Nice alternative. Ripe green apple + lemon tart. Refreshing bubble with a nice touch of caramelization in place of sweetness to round everything out. The wife says there’s a hint of toasted marshmallow at the end — 6 years ago
Really good. Wife approves. — 7 years ago

More steely and mineral than I thought it would be. More like premier cru Chablis than CM. — 9 years ago

Complex nose, spicey oak, green apple, gorgeous minerality, terrific spice, amazing deep minerality and a stunning expansiveness. Really wonderful white burgundy symphony on the nose. Just unreal. What a nose. Tree bark, dry soil. Just stunning. Wow. Juicy, energetic, luscious, fresh, vital, elegant, complex. Wow. What a wine. Just gorgeous. Maybe best Monthelie Blanc I’ve ever had from Boussey. Explosive and wonderful. Spicey as well. A brilliant bottle. Finish is epic. — 4 years ago
