Some underbrush and cherry on the nose. As it evolves more orange citrus notes come out. All follows through on the palate with nice fresh acidity and soft tannins. — 6 years ago
Rising star in Chenas! First vintage 🤣
But seriously, a nice rare bird found in Japan. Full of energy and crunch. Red, floral, mineral... Leroy's magic touch... The more rustic side of her touch... If you get what I mean. I really enjoyed the wine. Good to note that KP still thinks the 16' Metras he had a week before was better... Pure energy. While I can't comment more on this, I believe this is definitely the case... Come on, it's Metras we're talking about. — 7 years ago
Given about 30 minutes of air. You could almost swear there was some Schist here. Reminds me of certain wines coming of the Cote de Brouilly, with a certain Chenas like influence too. Two bottles to go. — 7 years ago
Smooth, fruity, delicious with the beef meatballs & olives — 9 years ago
Light, well-balanced wine! — 4 years ago
Great bottle of this. Tons of crunchy red fruit and minerality. — 6 years ago
Amazing how much there is left to discover. Chenas, so under the radar, is on par with the best of Beaujolais.
This is exceedingly well balanced, complexed - full bodied but feminine. Aromas exude youth - fresh berries and perfumed flowers. Little bit of orange and raspberry - good chew and acid with velvety plush. Zero tannin nod to Guy Breton - every bit as good. — 6 years ago
It was 100% gamay. Beautiful expression of gamay. Fruit forward, light, good acid. Nice summer drinking — 7 years ago
Little lighter body than I expected from a Chenas, but good acid and wonderful over all. Green strawberries, plum, cranberry. Nice spice. Wish I had a few more bottles! — 7 years ago

Chenas for the win. Light but flavorful. — 6 years ago
To be honest, I actually prefer the Chenas I had earlier this year in Japan... But in the same spirit, this was super glou-glou. Bright, fresh, juicy, light, and super expressive. Only issue I have is the perception of RS. Could be the super sweet fruit though... — 6 years ago
Great Chenas. Definitely vin de garde. Like — 7 years ago
This was tasty with the mid-tasting provisions. — 7 years ago
Peter Sultan
Now this is interesting- a Beaujo doppelgänger from Spain. But has some depth & soul- veering towards a meaty Chenas or Cru- like facsimile. And the price is right: under 17/16$ — 4 years ago
