La Pousse d'Or

"Clos des 60 Ouvrées" Les Caillerets Monopole Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2016

Un pinot carré encore sur du fruit frais dominé par la cerise mais bien fondu dans un bouquet de fruits rouges, puis quelques notes fumées et terreuses.
Epaules larges la trame garde une jolie acidité.

Domaine Joblot

Clos du Cellier Aux Moines Givry 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2021

Light bodied without being a pushover. Bright fruit, almost a bit green like unripened strawberries with a constant bitter note throughout - like unsweetened cacao nibs — a year ago

La Pousse d'Or

En Caillerets Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2005

The lush fruit calmed down after 30+ minutes and the tertiary notes started to come about. Add some black tea to the mix made me a happy camper. I would score it higher if the finish was a little longer. No hurry to open this. — 5 months ago

Château La Fleur d'Or

Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2014

Golden raisins, boytaris funk, dried pineapple. On the lighter side for Sauternes, but super enjoyable. Tropical and candied lemon. — 6 years ago

Drappier

Carte D'Or Champagne Blend

Zesty and floral aromas all the way. Nice tension and texture. Crush wet stones, striking balance and smooth finish. Brioche and candied apricots. Peachy on the end back of the palate as well. Short finish but lingering enough to taste its nuances for over 5 secs. Cheers ! — 5 months ago

La Pousse d'Or

Les Jarollieres Pommard 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1996

An unforgettable bottle to crown our Taiwan trip. Gerard Potel’s 96’ Jarollières was just emotional and a testament to his mastery - he simply doesn’t miss. My first encounter with this Pommard vineyard revealed a wine less filigreed than Potel’s Volnay bottlings, leaning into darker, earthier tones, yet still imbued with his genius: crystalline purity and weightless intensity.

The nose unfolded sweet dark and red fruits, black tea, dried roses, violets, and a whisper of nutmeg and other spices. On the palate, it had plush, silky textures and extraordinary minerality - perhaps the most mineral-driven Potel I’ve encountered. With air, it deepened and felt livelier, revealing sweet red cherries, smoky tar, and irony minerality intertwined with earthy, tea-like nuances. Zen-like really, as it danced between sweetness and mineral precision, delivering a finish as haunting as it was beautiful. Pure Potel magic.

This was quite good 1-2 hours after opening. Great nose of bright cherry fruit and classic CdP funk. Sadly, at hour 3, the nose became mute. Poor @Paul K arrived hour 3. — 7 months ago
