Pale ruby color. Aromas of raspberry... can’t unsmell the bubble gum wrapper @John Howard ! And rose stems. Fantastic flavors, loads of red fruit and a gorgeous finish. — 5 years ago
A fabulous wine with hints of honey and pineapple. Bought from CC — 8 years ago
Popped and poured; DIAM cork. The 2015 Casa Emma CC pours a deep ruby color with a translucent but near opaque core with no obvious staining of the tears. Medium viscosity. On the nose, medium+ intensity with notes of super funky cherry (not Brett), dried herbs, porcini, menthol and cardamom. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Finish is medium and satisfying. Confirmed are the notes of cherry accompanied by dusty earth notes and orange bitters. Drink now and enjoy. — 4 years ago
Dry with pronounces tannins. Two hours after decanting, it emergences much smoother and rather nice to drink now. Not quite the standard Fontodi CC, but a very enjoyable wine on its own. — 5 years ago
@Benjamin Keator had his hosting at the CC tonight and it was absolutely incredible. What a night of gorgeous wines! All wines are guessed blind.
My guess here was ‘04-06 French champagne. I couldn’t guess a house, but I was able to rule out what it wasn’t (PH, Dom, Krug). This wasn’t reductive enough to be west coast. Balanced sweetness and yeastiness well. — 8 years ago
Everything I want in Sangiovese/CC at $25. Rockin concentration, juicy acid, fine tannin and perfect at the table. dark cherry fruit, menthol, black licorice, smoke, dust and violet. — 8 years ago
Lovely aromatics, ripe red fruit, internationally pleasing. Organic wine. Big, fruity, med+ acid, med- tannin, nice balance with hint of herbaceousness. Quite different than the benchmark CC style. $65 — 4 years ago
As a beverage manager I was seeking out a new BTG option that was a low-priced red which could pair with our fresh island fish plates. As soon as I tasted this I knew it was the one. Very bright red fruit, med-high acidity with herbal notes. I’m highly impressed by this CC 🤙 — 8 years ago

Light gold color, youthful appearance in the glass. Great CC nose with notes of citrus, ginger, reddish clay, wet stones and tan spice. Fruit still very present, matched against some fine-grained acidity. Awesome mouth feel. I know some of these can go south sooner rather than later, but this was right in the zone - youthful with plenty of energy. Great showing tonight. — 4 years ago
