Blend of primarily Nero di Troia with some Aglianico blended in. Dark ruby color. Aromas of tart black and blue berries, tar and bitter baker’s chocolate. Flavors of cooked blackberries, black cherries and dark plums along with notes of dark chocolate, tobacco and baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Quite ripe, juicy, full bodied and concentrated. Nicely balanced and harmonious. Fantastic QPR. Excellent find! — 5 months ago
Fruity with strong body and clean finish. Ausgezeichnet — 3 years ago
This is a very concentrated wine with lots of black fruit and spices. The palate is complex and layered. The blend of Merlot and Cabernet carries the day.The. Petit verdot provides substantial color making this wine opaque. — a month ago
Dry, citrus, underripe green apple, crisp acidity. Enjoyable but not that complex. Muscadet like. — 3 years ago
Really good. Needs a few hours of air. I’m guessing will be better in 5 years. Cherries, tobacco, strawberry jolly rancher, earth, a bit of evergreen. — 5 months ago
Really good. Pricey, but rich, full-bodied, well-balanced. — 3 years ago

Mmmmm. Smoky, earthy, rich, dense, smooth. Tea, raisins, tobacco notes, reasonably integrated structure with some heft. Nothing like a good 15 year old Aglianico with the mouthfeel and finish of a young Amarone. — 24 days ago
